Without a plan to grow baseline energy supply, politicians are only storing up woes for themselves and successors. Energy prices have surged partly owing to low inventories of hydrocarbons. Global stocks of crude and all its product derivatives have dropped to 2018 levels.

Governments have depressed investment in all fossil fuels. This has discouraged development of natural gas, a viable transitional fuel if handled safely. Nuclear is politically toxic, but unavoidable for keeping lights on when renewable supply is low. Storage is another missing piece in the energy security jigsaw.

Private capital allocates itself efficiently in markets that are well-defined. It cannot bear the heavy lifting required of it when the task ahead is so vague. Tighter net zero targets at COP26 will not be enough. Governments must set year-by-year timelines for transition. Without these, expect supply disruption and price spikes to recur.”

Incidentally the FT is free today and they have given free access to all their COP26 coverage.

I hope for the sake of the planet and humankind folk wake up to the fact that it’s not either or at least yet!

One always has to be aware and act appropriately, AK is more than cognisant and imo on the right page with ESG.

I have posted before that I expect SAVE to develop renewable assets at some point.

But for now gas and oil (lesser so) is seen to be the transient energy from coal.

It’s all very well the West whose economies have already been built on carbon to now be ‘holier than thou’ but they are still the biggest polluters. Australia surprisingly is No 1 with its carbon per capita.

Developing economies need to grow and that takes energy. They cannot grow on renewables alone but they can transfer from coal/diesels, to oil, to gas to renewables.

The West should be much further ahead of the curve but we are not. The irony is that during the last energy supply constraint the UK had to fire up two coal power stations! That enabled folk to charge their electric cars - you get the point. And don’t get me onto our lack of ability to recycle lithium or the debate that actually making what you have last is often the greener option. But the point is there is more the west and the wealthy Asia can and should be doing.

Part of cop26 is to help high growth economies develop cleaner energy. Only working together, and that includes finance, can there be a pathway that benefits the health of the second and third worlds and thenthe planet.

SAVE actually has a pivotal part in that opportunity being a substantial energy provider in Africa’s biggest economy.

It’s just a shame that some folk that are super-glued to the M25 having flown in from the Netherlands don’t quite get that side of the debate!

We need to help the likes of Africa grow so their populations can have the same benefits that we have had. And grow smarter than we every did! Gas in particular has a huge part to play in that energy and economic transition.

Health services will look to work smarter to catch up on backlogs and profile patients. That’s where we come in.

I am pretty sure any institutional analysts looking at that presentation will be looking forward and not kin the rear view mirror’ as someone eloquently put.

EarlyCDT lung payback in another two years was a bit of a disappointment. That was a huge phase 3 and peer review. It’s worthy of much more. The good news is immunoINSIGHTS can pretty much pay for the business.

I wonder if they may look at selling EarlyCDT lung. It should be of great value to a bigger pharma. Food for thought.

I am pleased overall, the £1.5m was well explained. Was nice to buy a few on the dip!

I manage to grab a few as well. This market cap is ridiculous. The value here is based on buys and sells not the product. There is pretty much zilch in the SP for these contracts...

I have explained the benefits before of a fully integrated workflow system. This delivers quantitative and qualitative data enabling diagnostics and trend analysis. The software follows the patient. The AI does the analysis saving huge time and costs and is far more accurate than human eye.

One contract with a top US clinic would normally be transformational for an £11m company. It comes on the back of the Keck Medical Centre which is the entire LA hospital infrastructure, many hospitals, that’s on top of the Medical Centre of Wisconsin and now MD Anderson adopts as well! That’s a huge US presence!

Following on now we have patents pending in Europe and not even mentioned is ‘Stonechecker’ or the other AI imaging tech!

The SP in my biased opinion is absolute nuts. I remember at ARB (I no longer hold) going through the revenue numbers when they were 5p and couldn’t understand how a company with then £2m of ARR’s and increasing income was valued at 20m from memory.

The market corrects but it tends to drip on buys and sells then suddenly over just a couple of sessions everything can change.

Companies list on AIM to raise capital and grow. The market is often harsh when the raise but it can reward when they grow.

There is no hiding from the financials. We need a better line of sight of revenues but with the placing out the way (there will always be another ) and deals being done at 100k an entry scale will start to tick up.

An investment here now is very risky and potentially on the ground floor of a flight of steps! The products and tech are good.

Flip the placing shares, a little SP momentum a bit more info on revs and this could really fly.

A free carry from here is a real possibility if so inclined or a good SP buffer to ride the waves!

Got 2500 at 1.68. No more funds yet to add. Was 161 sell 168 to buy and google price was 160. I still maintain most of the SP movement here is just MM driven. Volumes do not warrant a near 20% drop on that news!

Just looked in, haven’t reread the report yet.

But one of the reasons US is doing well is because insurers there are paying for proactive tests recognising the potential long term health and cost benefits.

As for these results they are poor but not unexpected and NOT irretrievable. It really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as covid has derailed a lot of pharma results. That is why I dropped ONC in favour of some income but bought back as I I thought it had become too cheap.

Well I got the timing wrong but I will be averaging in more again now as I see a turnaround here.

I was disappointed that the forward guidance was weak on numbers but optimistic on plans. The next trading update will be key.

I will look to average down over a couple of trades as I see this as an understood setback not of the making of the company.

I need to read more about the IFRS impact. It could be more about compliance than non payment.

We have 5.6m guided for FY to 31st May 21.

It will be the outlook that will be key and sales particularly US.

There are many contracts and sales opportunities that we could all call out some we know have been converted, some NDA others in the pipeline. That’s the nature of pharma.

The ops is amazing but for me it’s the US footprint, how are they going to deliver on demand and any update on the NHS contracts which I suspect have been tied to the budget.

I am hoping for a minimum £10m revenue guidance for this year. Following covid health service constraints and it’s impact on wider health spending I think that would be a very reasonable guidance.

We have scale to go from 0-10m but going from 10-20 is a different step. That’s why we need the new lab, a US presence and probably recruitment. You can only get so much from unit cost increases.

We know biodesix have been recruiting in the US to meet demand but we don’t know the sales conversion rate. Likewise the upscaling of lab capacity will deliver more tests and that should kick in but likely in the second half.

Scaling up within our cost envelope will likely be a theme.

Following the raise I think cash will be fine. We had enough from revs prior to the placing to pay our running costs. That should still continue.

Will be an interesting read but I will be out tomorrow so won’t catch the early action!

Re today’s SP, hardly any volume. Lots of movement has been spread or liquidity issues.

I still think we will see a buyer step in for ONC. It’s unique, in demand and I think undervalued.

It could easily bolt on to Roche’s or Merck’s R&D arm

I have reached my target holding today. I was hoping for 20p top up but I don’t see it now after waiting.

For most of the morning 8-9:10am it was NT to buy anything but I could sell 80k in one hit!

I picked up 10k at 22p and the next 10k at 22.4p. I like round numbers!

But more to the point if there is still a seller why would the MM take 80k from 08:00. I get it if it was NT for buy and sell while they worked out the spread but not just for buy.

Imo this is getting ready to move up again. Obviously, you may think ‘I would’ say that but it seems a little odd.

The ‘full bag’ test of the remainder of the material gave a result close to the average of the two sub-samples at 63.03 g/t (announced 27 August 2019).Grade variability due to the nugget effect has been demonstrated, but some consistency between results has been seen, and indicates the effect may be less severe than initially thought.The data generated has been provided to Dr Simon Dominy, a noted expert on nuggety gold systems, for geostatistical analysis to quantify the nugget effect and evaluate the representativeness of the larger samples.
