· Stage 1: assumes an instantaneous market shock, including interest rates lower by 150bps, a 30% fall in equity markets, and a significant widening of credit spreads. No trading of assets is permitted.

· Stage 2: real estate values are significantly lower (28% for residential and 30% for commercial), and there is further deterioration in credit markets including downgrades and defaults. Trading of assets remains prohibited, other than in derivatives to restore matching.

Lol - when there was all the discussion about TikTok/US - my view was simple….

You can have TikTok in the west as long as you allow facebook in the east on the same conditions. QED! So freedom of speech etc whatever that means!

But for declaration I use neither TikTok, facebook, telegram or x for that matter as they allow transmission of child abuse amongst many other horrible things and do sd all about it! The owners just buy yachts and are the equivalent of the Russian oligarchs! That’s why Trumps lives em!

And whilst the gratitude statement is incorrect… it’s a fact us European hypocrites have spent more on Russian oil that we have on Ukrainian aid!

We should be in a position where if USA pulls out it doesn’t matter as we can up our game and support Ukraine!

Absolutely pathetic priorities in Europe… it will be rolled over either from within or externally unless we get our acts together!

What if and it’s likely that USA leave NATO.

What if as DJT and Vance clearly would love the US and Russia align over resources and trade?

These are real possibilities that we have our heads in the sand over!

Ties in with what Charles Archer is say about BTC being sold to cover margins elsewhere. The drop is not BTC related as it’s not being followed (yet) by ETF selling. Rather it’s hedge funds reaching for liquidity!

Another poor month in US payrolls could indeed spook the market - makes you wonder if the shutdown was a data firebreak!

But I wouldn’t underestimate the impact of rate cuts. A dovish Fed could really temper the call on redemptions, support the consumer and ease mortgage burdens.

Trumps onshoring should at some point create jobs rather than just shifting costs to the consumers through tariffs!

But for the likes of Apple and Toyota to build in the US is a much longer term play.

In the meantime it’s gotta be tax cuts to incentivise employment and Keynesian type infrastructure spending - which to be fair at least the in US both Dem’s and Rep’s understand-and take a longer term view. - at home here our parties don’t have a clue!

I think the Fed are pretty well placed to deal with some of the junk even through QE but this time the banks will have to shoulder a lot more responsibility.

A clue will be banking stocks getting the jitters and of course gold going on a significant run. Atm rebased against the depreciation in USD it’s not moved that much. It’s just caught up. Another big run against a relatively stable geopolitical landscape would be an indication that there is a ckroach infestation!

According to news BTC is being sold as it’s very liquid to cover margin calls elsewhere. There isn’t a sell off in ETF’s.

This makes sense albeit it doesn’t help COIN but volatility is the name of the game. So if you want some crypto exposure in your pf it’s a case of putting up with the price you picked or trading to get a better price. The alternative is to sell but not kick yourself if it goes on another significant run!

where is or ever has been europe - we can’t even manage a no fly zone over our own territory let alone ukraine’s!

this deal sets an awful precedent- one where the aggressor can legally grab sovereign territory by force!

that means by force trump gets greenland and china can have taiwan based on this example!

he is setting up a non obstructive land grab of the arctic imo! russia will not contest - europe are too weak!

but then it means india can grab its pakistani borders, israel get gaza 100% etc etc!

it sets a terrible precedent!.. muscle wins!!
