Well the way it tends to work is when the SP goes up 20% folk buy. When it stays where it is or pulls back a tad they wait until it leaps forward again then they start buying. In between those events there has been no news it’s just FOMO and trading emotions.

I am a gold mining amateur! Scratch my head a tad even with an engineering (telecoms) background! But of course I get by and work stuff out.

Finance is more my thing and chemistry which reads across to biotechs where I have had huge winners and also a few losers! Same as most posters I guess. Figure from the BB posts if true most are hobbyists.

Retired early, self funded as many bags up so cashed out. Then Putin nearly caused me to get a paper round but managed to sell my pf and buy back cheaper!

Getting a whopping 8.8% well covered yield on my investments now esp following LDI!

What an opportunity LDI was, not quite like covid but a similar principle!

Nearness does NOT = the same resource as adjacent finds!

Gold is often like a corridor either side is out. That’s RM’s point about the greenstone belt and how it is independent of political boundaries. WSBN has ramped by piggybacking GGP. I have done v well there! Lol!

We are proving that the gold extends into our license. The linear plate tectonics have a high likelihood of a continuous mineralisation like veins.

I think we are scratching the surface with our expo and my earlier quip to itsyou actually had a serious undertone. He knows that, a sincere and erudite poster!

One of the best posters here together with APRO, legal (always says it as is!), RP, PF etc even Beb gets you thinking, checking, scratching before discounting! lol! Newbies will soon find out who is who…oh on that note.

Also some v rampy optimism posted today. Some forgivable given the rise and of course some are plausible but just not yet. But for sure the SP will go through 1p soon, by that I mean by Q1 next year. That’s the way I measure it and my first target is 1.2p lol! But the rest is higher.

Meanwhile the Dow gives up a 700pt gain then recovers 100pts. Inflation comes in lower and dollar softens against the Euro/Asian currency basket. US 10 year drops on lower CPI, gold jumps as does oil. What’s all that about. Get used to it. We are a producer and our debt is linked to a discounted spot price!

Whilst we won’t track the minute movements in POG like GDX big steps will have an exponential impact on our bottom line. A new POG trading range of 19-20 could be hugely significant! And end a huge bear market in gold miners!

Always worth having some PM’s in the pf and GCAT is about as good as it gets.

I tried telling ‘em ages ago! But I also said originally £5 was possible IF they hit first time.

With the dilution and economy as is the upside potential is still massive albeit unlikely £5 now. £2.50 though eh!

Wait for the SP to drip as the shenanigans take centre stage and average in for the ride up from below 5.5 imo.

Mind you all said TXP offer excellent upside albeit less than HE1 but is a much clearer path to riches and virtually no downside below 50p. That’s my best risk/reward tip for 23. Have many others that will do better % wise like GCAT, IQAI, ONC etc but few with less downside risk than TXP from here!

So funny I walked the dog this morning same time as neighbour and he asked if I had any tips as I told him about my exploits in the past. Had to explain the car! Lol! I said GCAT when he gets back he messages me. They are up 20%…

I have subsequently spent the afternoon sending him a spreadsheet of data to get him going…!

I like to compare peers. There are very few junior miners whose SP is higher now than it was a year or even 2 years ago as few have sustained operational and financial momentum in a tough market. One that has is LEX (I no longer hold them as sold but they are a good Co).

Lex has a top US postcode has 4 prospects, JORC, excellent drilling results, top team, has a 22% holder and just raised.

There isn’t too much in common but comparing the chart is like a mirror of GCAT if you slip the start of our chart back to April. It then aligns with the drip after the IPO, the finance then picks up after the placing and the drill results.

Lex is a 16m mcap, no production no mine yet but we seem to be following their path.

Click on the trades tab and look at the red writing.

By the time LSE get the data from the LSE it’s out of date by up to 15mins. In reality it’s probably only a few minutes though.

They then run their ALGO. If say a share price is dropping significantly then by the the time they do their thing what was a sell can now be above the mid point and so the ALGO reports it as a buy.

The opposite is also true. A rising SP buys can appear as sells as the mid moves up.

The other factor is if the spread is either too wide or minuscule with a changing best price.

But none of that applies here. So not sure how they can report my buy as a sell. Sloppy!

I get it when the sp is moving quickly due to the 15min delay between the real price and the LSE robotics but the SP is parked!

No not without an RNS. We can only speculate that it’s PI’s that added in 5,6 and early 7’s that are selling or top slicing.

Lots of posts about ii’s buying.

It’s usually around a £50m mcap for ii’s at least to a declarable position. GDXJ is one of the larger ii’s in the small cap space. You can get a flavour of their holdings here…

For sure we may get more HNW buyers or some of the more obscure institutions taking a foothold. It’s worth looking at SHG’s holdings to get an idea. You can then look back through their TR1’s to work out the mcap at which those institutions started to buy and following what news.

Note Odey Asset Management have a position and also sustainable capital. These are know for levering holdings. You can see from Sustainables TR1’s.

But for sure they all start buying somewhere and if there analysts flag up GCAT insti’s may take a non declarable foothold with a view to adding as the mcap grows giving them a better average.

SMS On a down trend. I was expecting a run up to 900p on smart meters given the off peak energy discounts driving demand and only 50% penetration and also a need for SMS energy storage given Nat grid have gone begging to drax!

One of my nieces is a a carer. She has just been offered reemployment if she wants it on self employed terms. She said the pay is much better. Bless her. She is coming out to see me later. I have to explain about sick pay, insurance, tax, professional fees, expenses etc and help her decide what to do. She’s a health graduate with two degrees.

It’s unbelievable how someone can pay someone fk all and then work out how to pay them even less!

Then the irony her cousin is a train driver, low GCSE’s. She is gobsmacked at how much she is being offered and at the absolute objection from old school colleagues to refuse to accept any modernisation and reluctance to use initiative or flexibility which she thinks goes with the grade and pay. But then that’s just the view of one 30 year old working in an anachronistic 70’s employment culture.

The unions have done well over the year for the majority on the railways. Bit like baggage handlers where industrial action has a pretty immediate bottom line impact so compromise is usually forthcoming.

Contrarily the health service, armed forces etc have experienced a widening pay gap as they don’t benefit from such leverage over pay negotiations as they can’t or haven’t withdrawn their labour.

Not saying what’s right or wrong it’s just an observation from folk close to home.
