I rate this a buy now. Holding 50p close imo when it happens will confirm that - similar view to UKw at 100p.

For both the sector is bombed out on political woes and bond yields.

While inflation is coming down, rates are dropping even us 10 year is coming down slightly following Trumps Fed bashing.

UK plc can’t afford to pss renewables off much more as they have just gone through further wind licensing and there’s more investment needed. They need to create jobs - non AI impacted jobs as well… craft and construction!

Here we have a new man taking over soon. That imo will help.

AoA may be changed. Could see a divi cut in favour of buy back which would likely still leave v high yield!.

More aggressive divestments, change in management structure and costs even merger for economies of scale.

Gosh he might even buy shares!

But whatever something will happen and whatever it is it will be something.

That should result in a nav discount reduction of less than the current +45%!

That means a higher share price.

I have added more to average down to under 51p now and will sell back to equal weight into what I see as an inevitable rise.

Others in the sector will also lift soon so our restructuring could hit a ‘rising tide’.

That’s not ramping to say it’s all going to be rosy.

Just saying I see a good chance of a higher sp and lower discount.

That gives me a trading opportunity to recover some loss here albeit I am up with dividends.

SEPL - I sold half on more than a double - it pulled back and I thought smarty pants - now it is off again following the huge holdings exchanges!

Broker targeting 629 - takeover whispers etc! Sometimes better off sticking. Similar with GGP. But have seen the mighty fall to zilch many times and now at least now I get more much needed income!

And to think I sent so much to the MAR who basically just ignored the evidence and allowed deceit and misinformation to continue which in turn just emboldened this lot! They are complicit by their lack of regulation imo.

And this is not about ‘your money your risk’. Investment is based on regulatory compliance and risk it should not be the case that he can just take the pss and line his own pockets ostensibly with shareholder money!

High beta stock this - the TU was imo ok but the market is reacting strongly to clarity and improved macro.

Folks chasing baggers in smallcaps - well for buyers here under 600p and even under 650p like me at 646 average this could bag imo!

And getting 6.46% yield!

Arv delisting from aim to just do asx. Saves cost.

Still 1 for 1 I would buy the dip but fully invested atm got till end Feb so may still get opportunity if not I can trade ASX so no big deal but ASX will have to take up London sell liquidity on transfer

So maybe better to buy on asx - no idea!

The broker has to carry the transaction risk up until settlement. This affects the cost of underwriting.

Since ABRN or whatever their stupid name is that bought them out they have come down unreasonable hard on regulation. But it’s an excuse to get their insurance cost down.

But before that they gave other excuse. example I had TIR and they stopped any further buying. Citing that the stock had been ramped on social media, telegram, I don’t use as it’s unsavoury.

The stock gradually collapsed due to less liquidity.

I pointed out that it’s my money, I had signed disclaimers when I joined ii. Also that any shorters can now just ramp stocks and then you will do the rest for them!

Before they stopped the buying completely, you had to ring them to answer questions. I said this amounted to advice because you were advising not to buy.

Anyway I sent them the regulations they sent me their T&C’s which said basically we can do what the fk we want!

They then prevented trading in lots of other stocks forcing folk to sell - not good for UK plc!.

They just want you to buy big uk and a selection of US. Every US stock I have wanted to buy I can’t on ii. Some multi bagged now!

I believe IG is better that’s for my next ISA.

I hope ii continue to allow trading. They have pulled the plug on so many companies recently making sell only so you can’t buy. It’s for their own risk management so ingnore the bs they give you. I complained to them several times now.

I think this company has a massive future but given the silly spreads here it’s not a surprise. Asx is better regulated than aim as well.

In the long rung the company will probably be bought out so it may not matter.

Anyone know if 212 trade asx ?

The income rises the divi is a % of that. The bigger pot of income increases more in absolute terms by a smaller percentage than the small divi cost pot does by a bigger percentage.

The accretion adds to the income pot as there are pretty much the same number of shares.

The raise isn’t a surprise. The price imo is excellent. It does give the holders at 6p placing opportunity to average down a bit.

They also haven't taken more than needed for now.

With the significant step up in asset value and this small placing done I think we should start to see a recovery back to 5-6p range soon.

Boredom has been the SP’s enemy not value! Hopefully things can move now.

HedgeEye research suggests a single large AI data centre uses between 5k and 50k tonnes of copper.

Small data centres use from 5k to 15kt ... So how many data centres are being built globally? Analysts project massive global expansion, with some expecting over 2,000 new data centers built by 2030.

The the mid point of 10-15kt and that's around 25mt of copper required just for data centres over the next 4-5 years.

Escondido the world's largest copper mine - by orders of magnitude - produces 1.4mt annually - it's like 2x bigger than the next top 10 mines (all about 0.5mt each) add up to around 6-7 mt per annum - production...

Global copper production was around 23 million metric tons (MT) in 2024, with Chile leading by far (5.3 MT, 23%)

Never mind the electricity gap... But what about the copper gap?

Planned hyper scale and global data centres alone will use circa 10-20% of global copper supply. What about everything else? EV - is the biggest rising demand , extending replacing ageing power grid networks, general construction wiring, military demand, developing world - ie virgin demand - in Africa, India and booming South East Asia

It's like trying to squeeze the contents of the Hoover dam through a garden hose.

We need to find and build another 5-8 Escondidas in the next 6 years.
