Another huge premium for a t/o! Just shows crazy prices on London markets and that it takes buy out to realise value.

I’m thinking DEST could go soon. I wish I’d bought back at 50p. Been watching for ages. Just picked up first lot now in case they announce something before the hols. If not will probably have to average down near 60p but news on XF should land soon!

Bought back into DEST having sold out earlier in the year like a fool! I had 100k shares at 26p! Now just paid 77.49 for 8000 shares!

Still hopefully it’ll show that it doesn’t matter if you pay more to buy back as long as you sell for more!

Can sell elsewhere to add more if DEsT drops below 70p. Let’s see!

Shenanigans all the time in these low volume scenarios. You can sell stock price drops others follow buy back cheaper. Run a cfd alongside your sells.

All things are possible but value will eventually out!

We pay off $270m in debt this year. Even offsetting 10% forward decline rate that’s a huge lump.

No need to make acquisitions at this SP just BB stock and run the debt off. It’s a huge discount atm! Crazy!

I bought 500 not published even on LSE yet, and a 100 shows as a sell here today to get my average down.

I doubt anything will happen between 24 Dec and 2nd Jan so don’t see the point in the 2nd Jan as a date.

This isn’t a couple of weeks more it’s become behavioural, the delays continue back from March 22.

Whilst I do get it following Ukraine etc this last delay after all that time make the BoD look more like fantasists!

One hopes it can come off but the longer it goes the more likely it will be completed in hand with an equity placement.

For sure they said they would avoid that but the word is avoid. Also where are the nav creek results and the ATS plan.

Don’t get me wrong I am sticking with them, just in case, but I am not a sycophant, I call it as I see it and will be down to 40% of my original investment following this latest delay.

Having cash on the side to average either up or down now seems eminently sensible albeit obviously I would still rather the pulled it off!

Chart has 67.5 but I wouldn’t look until the 61.5 comes in and then would sell below 70. That would do or let it go.

There’s a technical gap and 73 but doesn’t mean it will be filled.

citadel are only 0.6% short.

if the sp is rising like it is then surely that short is a potential boost to the sp not a drag.

in any event i don’t get why such a small short position by a known chancer would affect one’s trading logic.

having worked my **** off averaging down now is the easy money. just buy and hold!

the next difficult part is when to slice but i figure following todays us goldilocks jobs data and the dovish fed interest rate outlook insurers are due a catch up.

london is substantially lagging us and yet we dropped on the same news, we just haven’t caught up!

imo ftse100 finance sector is due a rally and this is one of the best investments for income and capital growth.

surely common sense will prevail at some point. common sense is sentiment in markets and once it changes the buys will flood in!

we can then put our feet up and watch and say +11% yield lubbly jubbly!

Probably a buy and sell posted. 2x 248000 @ 1280. They were XOFF. The market maker has to publish the trade even though it was over the counter, OTC.

It could be as simple as moving stock across platforms to a handshake trade between two insti’s.

And Tro you are spot on with taxes but let’s have a ski slope that eases the burden at the lower income end!

I am only just in the tax bracket, pay 20% on a few hundred quid! lol! But I make up for it with thousands of taxes paid in trading stamp duty making ends meet! My choice though!

I just read their results. Forecasting production eductions of 4, 3 and 4% for 24,25 & 26!

I also not their opening statement basically is an action plan to address these issues.

My cynical view is that everything they have said there should be BAU!

Inflation has hit them hard also higher tax areas of operations.

As always with miners that produce it’s the commodities that intrinsically drive the SP. They are main producers of platinum. Dig lots of other stuff as well. Comes down to a view on commo prices.

Similar to FRES where I like to trade but that’s just PM’s + copper.

Be interested to hear how you play it if/when you buy in. I note it’s come off the bottom but my experience is that intra highs and lows tend to get revisited again in the short term.

Recent examples…

You can see that with the HE1 low following the RNS, it’s gone lower and PHNX went to 507 following the RNS, it pulled back and now has had a look at the high again.

So I would look to buy lower than todays low or if I got the low today would sell for a few bob then buy again when it goes below todays low. If I don’t get what I want I leave it for the next guy!

Helps to share these tips! They cost money to learn them!

I guess you are using a forward pe as I have it between 6 and 7.

Imo, using a forward pe is a clever way to get ahead of the market.

Especially buying using TA ahead of the next results.

I added 10k today and will continue to average in here for the long game and that pe of 3!

The last two I stocks traded with misplaced valuations similar to this was TGA, I bought at around 150p and YU I first bought at 200p ish.

I sold both but you can see from their charts the impact that a step in pe rating has on the SP.

You would think politicians would have learnt by now that excessive unnecessary regulation does the opposite to what one expects!

Look at how this govt has completely fkd up our energy policy. No one even wants to build a wind farm now and instead of using gas as a transition fuel they sat on the NS licences and we import from abroad at higher cost and higher footprint!

We also have the Labour Party saying they will tax savings made from AI where jobs are lost!

Back on my mantra of them all being useless!

We have an economy full of labour shortages, dependent on immigration and has poor productivity even compared to Europe!

So when we get an enabler to free resource improve productivity and drive much needed efficiency especially in healthcare from front end patient interaction to diagnostics. What’s the answer.

Tax it! So we become more uncompetitive and send the talent abroad!

We live on an island, with its own agriculture, its own fishing, its own HC, wind and waves, we had the best financial institutions in the world! We had the best healthcare the best educational establishments!

You would actually think it wasn’t possible to fk it all up!

Last Thursday my mum was taken ill. I went through the NHS direct who said get an ambulance. It is impossible to reach her GP. They actually insist she uses the app. She doesn’t even have a mobile and the flipping app doesn’t get looked at!

Anyways the ambulance arrives, two fantastic paramedics. Run all the tests and say she needs to go into hospital. But it’s a 14 hour wait in an ambulance outside Plymouth A&E!

They explained that there are no more ambulances so offered to pay for her to have a taxi to Exeter or Torquay! That’s 48 miles away!

Obviously I took her in my car and joined the queue at Exeter. We were lucky as I know my way around exeter, finding places and parking adds stress and she was seen by a doctor some 6 hours later as fortunately they weren’t that busy. I got home at 5 am having set out at 4pm!

Should I right to my MP, what’s the point. I did once before and wasted my time!

They are all flipping useless!!

How does someone like me who respects the cost of democracy paid by others vote. I have no idea!
