On the animal testing. I am all for minimizing it and reducing suffering. That said thousands of people are ill, and one never knows who it might affect.

So I gripped the bull by the horns and called Charlie and Freja in for a chat. I explained to them that they might be needed. Freja looked sad but brave. Hmmm wrote a long reply about monoclonal antibody being well known, overcoming initial issues. Changed my view slightly(that’s what a bb is for)..,

Initially wrote about antibodies compared to Stefin A and it being an unknown in terms of treatment meaning it would go thru extended testing in animals then phase 1-3/4 which normally takes time. See link below. As antibody treatment likely to available why take risks on a treatment which would likely act in a similar way (an assumption on my part).

I would be happier than anyone if it was brought to market quickly. Just have a hard time seeing how fast track is justified when alternatives available. I have been wrong before thou.

I think they should still fund/work with research. Animal studies identify candidates etc

If there was nothing else for treatment, this would be like watching G.North screaming thru defenders heading for try line, as it is, more like scrum on own 25, interesting and engaging but still sitting in my seat.

I think many raise expectations a little too much for this. I blame Hollywood. But would welcome to be shown I’m wrong.

What advantages would such a therapy have over antibody, plasma or drug treatments available in short term.

Interesting research project that might come in handy for the next global panic but in terms of ROI it’s a long way to market which might not be there when it’s ready.

How many here would inject an untested active molecule that plays with there blood pressure metabolism and other stuff? How many would be prepared to forego other treatments in order to test wether it is effective .

I Assume 3 years for it to get to market. Look at vaccines and they are well known treatments.

Investment , belief in company can grow is a new market, and they have three shots at that ( diagnostic, affirmer therapy, and pre-cis ion).

All carry risk, covid test has accelerated the timelines and investment. It would be nice to get a buffer of profit now so sitting on hands is more relaxed. Multibagger potential takes time so hanging out here more for the crack.

Trading this might make you money, buys it’s sweaty and sticky, could loose it too. Easier to goto work and invest for long term.

Orasure: 2 tests. Antibody one mentioned here requires sample to be sent to a lab.

I started looking at some of the names. On a wider aspect it’s amazing some of solutions for things that are out there.

Casper. Gene editing solution based on known tech. Based argentina.

Tested a small number of patients. Good result

Test is fiddly with different steps. They have combined several steps into 2 and are looking to make one cartridge.

Price point stated as 6 dollars

Seems like early days of putting prototype together (same could be said avacta). Information flow not massive and I didn’t get feeling they will ship soon.
