PB, agree with your sentiment, there is always something going on behind the Iron Curtain... hopefully we see some more IIs jump into this to eat up a few billion shares that will drastically reduce liquidity which should stop the day traders

Not sure that HSBC will be involved in the lending, if they were and they were also buying the stock, they would need to jump through a lot of hoops and declaration for this to not be classed as insider trading... but who really knows if they make £50m out of the trade and are fined £25m then I guess it was worth the rule breaking

I enjoy the odd spread bet but I see IG is now going to be asking for 100% of margin to be covered upfront from the 26th of Feb which will probably mark the end of an era... not all instruments will require 100% margin to be covered but it's the start of a new day in the spread bet game I reckon

no reputable spread bet firm will allow shorting on companies with MC less than 50m as a rule of thumb (in the UK) you can take long positions though... wouldn't mind a cheeky tenner a point on this one for some pocket money

That's a real "bro-science" response... didn't realise it was a fact that this would go up? also if they go make 5-10% elsewhere and return here where it's gone up ~3% they end up with more shares so I guess my response would have to be yes, they don't mind buying in at a higher price...

Traders selling out of this to buy back later in the day, wish I had the stones for that

if you're going to start doing that you're also going to have to start guessing at the P/E ratio, no one knows if warrants will be taken up just like we don't know what the P/E ratio will be... if this is a done deal by next week, there's a good chance it'll make it's way into my bottom drawer and I'll look at it in a year secure in the knowledge we have an abundance of income vs little expenditure. Ideally within the year, if there is an excess of cash there will be some buyback scheme implemented which will further complicate working out how much shares will be in issue.

If it ends flat it ends flat, yeah it’s a bit of a joke given news however the last 2 RNSs have turned this (IMO) from a 50% will it come off gamble to 95% sure thing... if this starts bringing in revenue of a couple million a month over the next 12 months I could live with a share buy back programme to inflate the sp accordingly

...this doesn't move on any RNS in the next 6 months, I'll continue to buy and hold and by the end of the year, I'll be a rich man! Sadly I don't think I'll have that opportunity. Let's give it till the end of the day tomorrow before we start crying that it didn't go to 100%+ on the bell...
