Kelladee,a bit of a murky question... The way Trump left things (and possibly one of his best moves) he essentially made it impossible for China to own any company or run a company on USA soil. Even if they do buy into this heavily I doubt they'd be in a position to actually have any control i.e. a board seat or take a majority interest. Hence CNOOC being pressured to sell... either way I don't see it as a problem, Chinese money is as good to me as anyone else's...

for context when I bought PMO when it was roughly 21p within 12months they announced the acquisition of E.ONs assets, brought catcher online and started generating bank in return this saw the share price sky rocket to about 90p i sold and it dropped back to about half of that and i bought back in selling at around 110p but if memory serves me right it went far higher... here's the thing PMO had a tonne of debt (and it worse now) they may not have had as many shares in issue but everything was offshore i.e. far more expensive to produce... it sounds ludicrous to say when looking at a share price in the .3's of a penny but this could do spectacular things over the next year or two... it is one to watch and one to be in at the ground level
