Is it not the case that until these approvals drop then there simply is no product to manufacture and sell. Is this not the key to everything. Could this be the real reason the DHSC agreement has expired as approvals for the actual products still have not been reached.

and on that note have the government only recently introduced a further hurdle in relation to approvals which King stated was "Frustrating".

Is it simply not the case that ODX have none of the Covid tests ready, signed off and ready to go?

I have been loading up with ABDX and NCYT recently but still have a fair few ODX, in fact I am top heavy ODX.

Listened to whole of the presentation and it was poor but to be fair it would sound dull if he was delivering fantastic news as he has no charisma. I remember when this SP had just went over the £1.00 mark and a similar presentation was going on during market hours and the share dipped to low 80's whilst he was talking. It recovered but his contribution caused a wobble in the SP for sure.

One thing that has often puzzled me, how do the MM's set the SP immediately on opening the market after news which will affect the SP. These RNS's are sometimes long and it can take hours to digest all the info yet the MM's set the price very quickly whether it is a big drop or big rise and it seems to stay around that initial price all through the trading day. How do they know what to set the price at on such big moves right at the open with such little time to digest the news?

TWATcher.......if you are not a holder but thought the company was pants....as you obviously do as every post you write is negative.......and proceed to spray your negative comments daily on this BB.......then that makes you, well a TWATcher.

HOWEVER if you are actually trying to tell us you ARE a major holder........in a company you clearly are constantly negative about and have no faith in.......well that goes beyond your name of TWATcher!!!. No sane person would invest in a company that they had so many negative issues with.

Yes the trust has eroded and we are no mugs as we pick through things which have been evident for some time but only getting revealed now. Adam/Heather/Harvey (all the same person) had a big issue with the big directors off loading their shares up in the 90p zone. With hindsight this was a massive red flag.....you cannot deny what has clearly happened since then.

Regardless I feel we are at the other end of this sea-saw now and the SP sitting in the 20's and even the 30's is too low for ODX , even with Colin in charge.

It's a horrible gut wrenching feeling seeing a SP that you are invested in nose dive. It does make you want to sell up and start afresh elsewhere with another stock.

I had this happen to me with RR and literally sold out days before the actual bottom was hit. You obviously don't know at the time that it is the bottom and as I look back at the charts now it is all so obvious......but it is never obvious in real time.

I think we will be at least in the mid 30's in a few days/weeks time as this SP stabilizers. It will look so obvious when we look back that this was an over reaction........ but the reality is it is not obvious at all.

The danger is even the stalwarts may bail at the slightest sign of a bounce, just to get out at a slightly higher price and reduce losses, and this will obviously hinder the SP from rising significantly.

Yes unfortunately I did, a small top up......if you check my post yesterday I actually stated the fact in real time.

This may be the first bone to be thrown our way and one of the only positives from the report. He is a good troubleshooter and will be an asset.

To be clear all the negative de-rampers have been proved to be correct.....whether well informed or just sheer luck.....this SP has dropped from £1.00 and today stands at circa 28p. It may dip further but I think the sell off is overdone and yes "falling knife" comes into play.

It is futile to pretend that backing ODX with our hard earned in any price higher than 28p lately was a wise move. I am fortunate however that I made money on ODX during the last financial year.....good money! This financial year has been a different story for me, however we still have 5 months left! So let's see where we go from here and I will assess my 2021/22 position next April.

Fear & Greed are the only two emotions that drive the stock market and "Fear" is in play here as the price plummets. People bail as they do not want to increase their losses which I understand but logic tells me 28p is a good buy in price for ODX. Let's put it this way if I had sold all of my stock last night I would be filling my boots at this price regardless of that poor half yearly report. It is much easier to think logically when you don't hold a position which shows a big loss.

I am a buyer this morning and have just purchased a tranche at 27.8p.......... but to be clear this is poor. Is the sell off overdone? Time will tell.

I have to put my hands up and disclose that I topped up at 4.28 last night when the reality is I should have sold and bought back this morning. I did have a feeling that the news would be more positive and I felt the SP was low at 40p and right on our historic support line.

40p was a cracking support level that had served ODX well many times. That has gone now and the climb back up will not be swift but I maintain this is a good sector to be invested in. ABDX/NCYT have all had different issues with the DHSC which has negatively impacted on their respective SP however the private sector is ripe and waiting for our products. It was clear to me when they struck the DAM deal that ODX are seeking other revenue streams for their Covid products and we now know why.

Let's be clear that ODX turned into a Covid stock and hence the rise to £1.00. We know there are other arms to this company but it is the Covid Wave that is the main driver and they can still make headway with their products in this sector but we need a few bones thrown our way after a poor update today.

That late purchase was a top up by the way......I am heavy loaded with ODX.

In with a little purchase of £5K at around 4.28 for 40p.

I have a reserve pot for any stupid drops tomorrow which i believe will be very temporary if at all.

ABDX went leaky leaky before their results and it rocketed the day before. The leaky leaky turned out to be falsey falsey so back down it went anyway. Good for traders in the know but no significance to LTH's.

Yes there is no shame in selling and buying back cheaper.

The issue is that there is no guarantee it will drop to enable you to buy back cheaper.....it could shoot north and then this plan would simply fail.

Anyhow isn't it strange that the news coverage over recent days is all about Covid and in particular LFT's! and yet here we sit at the lows.

No getting away from the fact that no matter what the results are tomorrow, testing is going to be required for years to come and ODX and some other good diagnostics companies are the sector to be in imo.

As always DYOR unless of course you are Mr India who wants everyone else to do the research for him and then reassure him that his investment is sound.

There is no way this disease can be contained in these conditions and if you think the vaccines are the answer think again. My in-laws both have been double vaccinated and they are just coming out of isolation now having both contracted Covid.

The requirement to test I feel will actually increase in the near future.

I would suggest there may be an anti Chinese sentiment since it was them that gave us this horrible disease.....doesn't stop the government buying millions of their Covid related tat!

So Harvey states that I am voicing my opinion rather than fact. He then goes on to, yes you guessed it, voice his OPINION which is contrary to mine. He has posted several other messages throughout the day..... all jam packed with opinion.

Now where I want wrong has nothing to do with "facts" it is that I have a different "opinion" to him.

I have no issues with opinions as speculation is at the heart of investing in the market. Investing & trading is all about opinion, speculation, trying to second guess what will happen next. Once something becomes "fact" then the price has already moved accordingly (up or down) and the opportunity has gone. What I do have an issue with is people who peddle their opinion as fact.

My posts do contain opinion but also fact.....like the link up ODX now have with Dam Health. This has been RNS'd and is fact. This is the private sector....fact. From this news I am now forming an "opinion" that ODX are targeting the private sector with their products and I think this a a wise move.

I am slightly underwater as my average in ODX is 48p having got my average down with some very recent purchases around the 45p mark. I defy anyone to consistently invest in companies that simply rise continuously and their portfolio increases daily......it simply doesn't happen and anyone telling you otherwise is a liar. As soon as I make a decision to invest in a company I always assume that it will fall and that I am not buying in at the bottom (Statistically speaking it is very unlikely you will enter a long position right at the bottom) I therefore always hold a lot of funds back as part of my contingency plan to average down. Yes, I actually assume the share that I have just bought will drop and I plan accordingly around this scenario. This type of investing has served me well but does require patience.

Oh, and I have only ever had one account on this BB unlike you. I certainly wouldn't trust a person who has so many alias's Heather....or is it Adam.....or maybe Harvey....who knows who else?

and no doubt many more in this sector. This is not ODX specific.

Now there seems to be a pattern that at the outbreak of this horrible virus many punters turned to companies that might benefit as they can manufacture Covid related products. All these companies hit highs on sentiment and expectation of large orders. Most have come back down with a thud including ODX and a common theme is the involvement of the British Government and the anticipation of contracts that are delayed or are withdrawn. Mologic even went to the extremes of suing the government over the dispute in relation to their test that ODX were lined up to manufacture.

The other issue is getting these tests signed off by the appropriate regulatory authority in whichever country you want to sell the tests to.

The market hates uncertainty and that's what you get with this government and what we have learned is if the DHSC are involved then don't count your chickens, or putting it another way, don't rush out and buy a Tesla! Getting the tests authorised is also a protracted business with no real set timelines given......markets do not like uncertainty.

We are all united in our feeling of being let down by our government who have time and time again gone to the country that unleashed this virus onto the world for products to try and combat the disease. !!! It just beggars belief!

Now the private sector is what interests me and that is where ODX is now targeting. Covid ain't going anywhere so testing kits will be needed for years to come. The government will in time phase out free kits and then it will be for private companies and individuals to start paying for these kits......and they will......especially companies and organisations who have a duty of care towards their staff / members.

Events will continue and life goes on but the requirement to be tested for Covid will remain for years to come.

ODX are not in control of the legislation that governs certification of these tests and if this changes, which it has recently, it is not ODX's fault. They need to be slick enough to evolve and adapt to meet the latest criteria measures. All companies are in the same boat and all other companies will have the same issues to contend with when the rules suddenly change.

EKF are a diagnostics company involved in manufacturing Covid Testing kits seem to be holding their own but they seem to be the exception to the rule.

The sector is in general suffering but it will change and positive sentiment will return.
