It is merely a shake to remove some weak holders. It is very common following a solid rise, nothing ever goes up in a straight line even given the dynamics here where the cap is so far behind the current situation. In fact the fundamentals are often overun by human nature with fear and greed running the show. It is of little consequence really as this will trend up strongly from here. I took some more this morning as stock was available sub 100p. All the indicators support more rises and they will come.

Both of those 20ks were sells. The release was delayed and when you look back to the price at the time they were sells.

Whilst we have sells dripping through the company may as well sit tight and let a small overhang form before supporting the SP. I expect them to make more buys this week which will see it kick off the bottom of the range again. As long as there are sellers about I expect the SP to remain at these levels. Once the sells stop a decision will need to be made about lifting the level. The MM are not making much, some of what they hold now as an overhang was bought at higher levels. This current action will reach a head soon and the SP will be forced up.

I think the market will want to see how Mr Wong intends to deploy the buybacks before to many conclusions are reached. He has stated several versions but the broad view is that the buybacks will be used as a catalyst to jump-start the SP whenever it appears to be struggling. I expect to see the current rising trend to continue fuelled by regular trading safe in the knowledge that the buybacks will be used if there is any resistance on the way. Personally I do not think many shares will need to be removed to achieve this goal. This share is about superbly positioned projects and a well funded company, the buybacks are a bonus play. That said a screaming buy for me.

Oh and I forgot to mention the dividend of nearly 5%. Next years figures will give much more away about the future profittability. There are some challenges, Iron Ore volume up margins down, maintaining and increasing the 90% occupancy rates in China's real estate. Delivering the 3 5 sky-scraper development on time and in budget. And the rest.

As suspected the SP has reacted positively to the recent excellent results and the possibility of a share buyback. The holders are unlikely to release many shares below 200p so we can expect it to move to that level over the next week or two within the buyback equation of last five days average +20%. The main problem will be liquidity and the MM's will need to either starve or feed the market. The near term potential for news is very high. There is the sale of ACC which is possible later this month. An approach at $100m has already been rejected by Mr Wong. There is also the sale of the first phase of the "in construction" massive development of shops, appartments and business premises, this will happen in September and Mr Wong is expecting high demand. The successful sale should encourage the market to respect the latest deals. Daniel Stewart will increase the near term targets as they see the buyback working. 300p has to be a mid term goal but they will want to play it down because PIHL and Mr Wong will want as many cheap shares as possible before they move on the rest of the company. An open offer at 350p in 12 months is my best guess, but it could be much higher.

190p seems just absurd to me. I assume the company have asked for such a low rating to get as many buybacks home as possible.

The company stated on the 1st June that the results will be released at the end of June or start of July. That to me says within the next 9 trading days. The results mean that the company are free to commence their share buy back to the value of £50m between results and September 2010 with the stated aim of supporting the SP nad closing the huge gap between current levels and NAV. The share volumes are so small that even a modest campaign will send the SP up dramatically. I notice a couple of sells today which seems just crazy to me as the opportunity to buy will end very soon. The equation for the buyback is up to 20% above the previous 5 days average. This should encourage a steady SP increase over a couple of months which should be below the radar of most but over the sustained period will bring strong gains. Results should produce a more accurate NAV figure but it looks very likely to be 280p or above and there is a good possibility of a strong dividend following the massively successful sell off of some of the cement business that has achieved superb capital appreciation. PMHL are currently operating an Iron Ore business, two cement factories (none controlling shares) and new property development business building a five tower block shopping, commercial and residential property (first phase for early sale Sept 2010), a commercial complex 90% let and a grassroots leisure, commercial and residential hot-springs resort. Oh and a huge amount of cash (£180m??? or more and another £100m+ comming soon). We will find out very soon.

Lets not forget the Iron Ore business, showing massively increased volumes but decreased margins. Property and Iron Ore are the main focus, Mr Wong can clearly see plenty of expansion potential in this sector. The IO must be worth 50m+.

The AIM is the problem. Mr Wong has recognised this and will be removing shares from the table to reallign the available stock with the number of players in the market. Removing the floating shares will force the market to properly value this company. Personally I think £4 is far to conservative and allows nothing for speculative growth and value. £4 for assets is OK but another £2 for future earnings from the IO and property business is more realistic. This will look very different in four to six weeks time when the buyback has had an opportunity to impact the SP.

Agreed 100%. Mr Wong is no fool, he was moved away from the core business of cement production and has moved into Chinese property management, development and construction. He has acquired a good mix of finished "let" properties with a 90% occupancy, a soon to be completed huge complex with five towers and a huge shopping mall in addition to a grassroots leisure/residential/business project. Mr Wong is already exposed to these projects through other interests so he is in a position to know the deals and the players. The term bubble suggests growth beyond demand and unsustainability, China has a huge market of emerging wealthy who will fuel the top end of the sector. Thats right where Mr Wong is aiming. I expect this to rise day on day but the real moves will not start until after results (due any day now). Updates on the Iron Ore business and the start of the share buyback will force this SP up despite the short comings of the AIM.

Several reasons. Market wide fear that shares are on the verge of collapse, no confidence that the share will rise dramatically in the next few days. General ignorance and pack mentality of the gambling punter. In short it is to be expected from an AIM stock where the real investor is a rare animal and the average hold can be measured in hours or days rather than months or years. Many are investing borrowed money on interest free credit cards or are short term on T trades, they would be going now even if the SP has gone to £3 or £4 so there is little point in worrying as the company have cash and assets worth more than twice the SP so the long term holder has nothing to fear.

With the disclosed buy back of up to 30% of the stock and only 46% in PI hands there is very little room for any Director deals and they simply do not need any new stakeholder, they are holding more cash than they can spend. This is most likely to go private soon from the AIM and rest on the HK listing. The SP will have rise coniderably first though.

The interims have confirmed the recent progress announced by the company and that has so far produced a pre tax profit of 616k for the first six months. October and November have been reported as the best sales months so far so the good news is set to continue. This company is far to cheap as we are heading towards a PE of 5 or 6 for year end.

With less than three weeks to what the management are saying are the best H1 results ever. The SP sits at the very low 50's whilst the company expand around the world. A recent deal with Singtel has seen the Itis platform installed in Australia and they are currently developing a platform for Singapore. The company say they have recieved many enquires from the rest of the world. This may not produce instant income but it should produce within a year or two which will mean that it could very well replace income from the couple of recent contract losses that have impacted the SP. I suspect we will get further guidance at the interims but I think Itis will recieve royalty type payments from the use of its technology in other countries. It will be bonus income at little cost and risk and could amount to a huge sum over the next few years. For the short term we must expect the SP to rise as the potential becomes apparent. I rate this a strong buy into the interims.

It will not be hard to be more dynamic than KBC who made virtually no contribution that I can recall. I seem to remember them coming onboard as a result of the last placing at £1.50 that raised 6 million. The board made some suggestion at the AGM that things would be changing with regards to the exposure of the company. Lets hope that the new advisors have a bit more energy than the last.

Having read the content here I can see there are some well informed posters so I thought I would post my thoughts also. I am a long term holder of Cyh and have built a personally substantial stake over the last few years. The company are moving forward nicely with this view underpinned by the results and the contract extension at CPS. CYH are producing good core income whilst CPS and Bluefinger offer the potential for real upside with the arrival of new contracts. The recent 1.2 million pound contract is certainly the largest single release contract I can recall for Cyh group and a sign of things to come. The SP is flat at its new level on low volume but with the AGM at the end of August or the start of July we can expect more near term rises on the expectation of a trading update. With the 512k a month income established from the inhouse leasebook and monthly payment scheme the current years figures have the potential to be excellent. We certainly should be looking for 500k+ at interims and 1.6 million at year end as a ballpark PBT. That will produce a healthy single figured PE and herald further rises. This could always be radically altered by further contracts. Best wishes to all.
