Dallo I doubt that the R&D budget will be anything like the profit. David and Shavit will want reward for their hard work. I see dividends as a absolute given. This is prime for dividends because the margins are huge beyond breakeven on licensing and code, the royalties are predictable and a matter of contract.
I think that it's very possible for turnover to be £50m in a couple of years and profit £35m. R&D will be maybe £5m from the remaining £15m. I don't think that headcount will increase much.
This was my assumption on investing and I see no reason to change. Dividends I expect to start based on year end 2022 in a small way.

I have a little over that under my control and unless people die that ain't going nowhere. All are here for dividends.

Substantially undervalued with any forward looking appraisal. Still some i's to dot and t's to cross to determine if this is a winner by a small or massive margin. Even assuming they fail to gain traction and have to partially reload or introduce a new layer they still have headroom to £1.50 in the mid term. If they gain support £5 mid term is very achievable.

I suspect that we'll get an update in due course saying that Ethernity are experiencing increased engagement for their 5G UPF and that multiple OEMs are developing products using the ACEnic-100.
I think that we will see the release of a CU product before Christmas.
I also think that we'll hear that ACEnic-100 in OEM form has completed evaluation by major Chinese vendors.

This is exactly the problem because 5G is not simply an accelerated data speed. What they currently have is a very powerful radio system that is capable of quick data transfer connected directly with fibre into the network. It lacks width and with multiple users it slows at the bottlenecks. SmartNIC based UPF is the solution as it allows the components to do just the tasks to which they are best suited.
Currently 5G is one dimensional but it will ultimately be able to respond with capacity to demand. There are certainly other issues that need addressing and Korea is definitely the learning curve. Hopefully now it will be obvious that this is all about the RAN.

Although ethernity are helping build 5G make no mistake this is about 6G compatability. Virtualisation of the network edge will be followed rapidly by virtualisation of the device. Things will move quickly. I think China will be rolling 6G from 2025.

Avionics will be like that. An OEM develops a solution for a specific order or contract. This is the initial amount. They then punt it around the industry to pick up more.
Somewhere in the aviation press will be a headline that fits this. Hopefully it will be in one of the big sellers and transferable. France or Sweden brands would be good with many current and previous models still in service exposed to upgrades with years left on the airframe.

This is the second switch order and the advantage of compute in the ****pit is obvious. Light, small, powerful and energy efficient the fpga based solution is an obvious choice. Avionics always starts small for trial and test but this is a second OEM bringing this to market.
A really great sideline income that will grow. Fpga user cases will explode over the next 12 months in my opinion

Interesting read. When Dish say that they will build their own RAN that will be with third party components.
We can see the US time line. Despite having big mouths they are actually well behind the industrial and tech powerhouses of the East. Dish has talked a lot, spent a fortune and are still really in the aspirational stage.

I have to agree with this. The applications open to SmartNIC are increasing as 5G mass deployment looms closer.
I note the point about vast engineering resources being required to deliver a in-house SmartNIC. This is a genuine barrier to entry.
We know that the newest generation of Ethernity SmartNIC performs at 200G which is several times the initial requirements. We know that it is based on the low cost FPGA. We also know that it has a very modest power footprint. We also know that Ethernity code and UPF works with any third party fpga.

Just to clarify that I don't know if Parag has developed their own SmartNIC I doubt it but they may have. I suspect that they would use a third party NIC and introduce their own code. The point being that Openess requires each section to have the best in class solution and be fully future proof into 6G. Yes they may have secretly developed a best in class SmartNIC but I doubt it.

There's a company in India that I have been researching because they are very similar in mission to Ethernity. Parag Naik is the CEO of Saankhya Labs. They cross on several levels then move into the radio unit.
I have watched several interviews and Parag is very much on the same page as David. They have their 5G end to end DU to RU product launching Q1 2021. This is India and Europe.
Parag is very firm on 5G being the virtualisation of the UPF and process from receiver to network. 6G will be all about the virtualisation of the mobile device. 6G will be the IoT boom as your device can take on multiple roles with functionality coming over the RAN in dynamically programmable form.
He has (much like David) a strong accent so you have to really listen.
