Dallo without watching the tech develop an investor is simply a gambler. Without knowing when to expect sales and evaluation updates how can you decide if Ethernity are in or out.
I am not a tech geek, I have been investing 30 years. I have the last few tears withdrawn from the stock market with the exception of Ethernity. Now I invest in people with ideas and it works as an alternative.
Investors have by majority not recognised trends until they are established, not seen traps until they fall in them and not understood the potential within a market.
As investors go for every winner there are multiple losers.

Ericsson still in denial with OpenRAN. They have won contracts in China and they will force them to completely open access the RAN as they won't sell access if users have to buy Ericsson. Apart from the monopoly which China only allow in Government there are performance and cost issues.
I can't believe that anywhere has signed up to ASICs from Ericsson. Evolution cannot stop and Ericsson are so far behind.

Of course each generation will be more and we don't know what we be possible. There are some obvious areas that really haven't progressed by much the device being one.
Virtualisation of the network to RAN and compute to the edge are huge steps for 5G.

0123 a kind of silly question because 6G is very likely to be the virtualisation of the device to fulfill the potential of 5G. 5G will be reconfigured and redeployed many times to optimise thanks to the SmartNIC ability to be smart. Code, function and even form can be cascaded to the device from anywhere in the world (Lod).
6G will be about how the device interacts with you and your environment. It could be a AR or VR tool for work, it could be the dashboard on your car, the console on your spin bike the ad board on the tube. The only thing that I don't think that it will be is a phone.
It will be your wallet, your credit card, your passport, your driving licence. The device has a long way to go in 6G.
Yes it will be super fast possibly 500x faster than 4G. The bottleneck in 5G will be the simple fact that the device is ASICs.

India heating up. Ethernity are well placed with a local partner seeking to manufacture in India.

Bid I see it all starting very slowly. Certainly unit orders under 5.
Each installation will be unique and the integrator will build a solution for each group of base stations. Specs will depend on the expected user case, space and power availability. Solutions will be from the size of a shoe box to a 40 foot container like Microsoft are developing. They may also be temporary like for a festival or an event then hauled away.
The integrator will bid their work and hope to pick up the contract. As similar user cases become apparent we'll see a list of standard submissions form. Hopefully Ethernity will have winners on this list. Much will come down to price. I don't think that the majors will be able to compete with locally produced licensed solutions. Many of those manufacturers will receive tax and other incentives.
The majors will make alliances and have local presence but they will still be a faceless corporation.

I believe that the 2000 was based upon engagements and deals known at the time. I suspect very strongly that the story has moved on significantly since then. The DU application will pick up sales but we'll be waiting for OEMs and integrators to develop their products to market.

China continues to move ahead quickly with 7% of the required 10 million 5G base stations installed. Depending on geography that could mean 50000 SmartNICs will be needed in the short term to achieve a true 5G experience.
Ethernity are likely to supply much more than just the ACEnic-100 licence as they have developed end to end products for the UPF and DU already.
I suspect that we'll hear of a new CU product before Christmas.

China very quickly will see performance drop to 4G levels as users join so will need to make the UPF more powerful and efficient as they cannot simply add more processors.
The requirement for private networks is still evolving but it is all about the band and the amount of local compute and latency required. Some applications will require real time almost zero latency. This is what makes a virtual experience real. If you move the VR or AR needs to move at the same time. This takes a huge amount of compute and it cannot be thousands of miles away.
