So bel, Optibac has been going for nineteen years, not the one as you suggest to fit your scaremongering theory. Optibac latest filing shows turnover of £12.6m, with cost of sales of £5.4m, leaving a gross profit of £7.1m, less admin expenses of £6.8m, leaving an operating profit of £303k.

So in summary you think it's a good idea for SA to go and raise approx £12.3m and focus 90% of his efforts, on one strand, of one pillar, to achieve £300k profit?

I’m guessing the distribution company & new major player are one and the same. This deal is nowhere near as they want to make sure we aren’t a one trick pony, this is why the potential acquisition is of great interest as it brings us many steps closer to a deal with a multinational as we can back our ip into the creams and have a portfolio of products straight away.

The reason the £1.2m was left on the table is two fold,

1, It would have put an end to any multinational deal for the whole pillar, not just Axis-Ps.

2, The deals where for at least five years and margin surrender was significant so we wouldn’t end up with £1.2m it would have been a small percentage of that at the bottom line.

The “alarming rate” you refer to was due to the links to the distribution deals, an eg, the NPF was linked to one of the distribution deals, because we didn’t sign the distribution deals, we lost that outlet. I won’t comment on the “one decent guy” for obvious reasons. You say its water under the bridge, so why keep bringing it up?

The lack of info re Croda, is down to Croda, not our board. What we do know is in the rns Sederma is now exploring in-human studies to further validate this additional activity and potential additional claims, and, In the spirit of the "smart partnership" that the Company has with Croda, it is now preparing for further, formal discussions with Croda regarding applications of other areas of the Company's technology. So not only are they investing more time and money into the lysate, they want to discuss using our tech in other areas, sounds good to me!

Regarding lack of info on margins, we know they are double digit so just work on 10%, that’s your worst case, its not rocket science.

oleric, Disco is refering to the lysate with Sederma, not the Axis product. He makes a valid point and is absolutly correct in what he says.

Sederma has successfully scaled-up manufacture to 600 litres and is testing the scale-up to 20,000 litres in a custom built vessel in Widnes. The project with Sederma continues to progress with further potential claims as previously communicated. Sederma is exploring in-human studies to further validate this additional activity and potential additional claims. It should be noted that the Company is subject to strict confidentiality agreements with Croda and as such is limited in what information it can publish.

fjones, I agree it shouldn't have happened, it was a mistake. But if you had read the annual report or the December rns you would have known it was a mistake. I'm just making the point that you need to shut up with your defamatory comments.

The rns was fine. The one problem was an incorrect historical cash position number (which should not have happened) obviously spooked a few investors and we dropped on about £50k of shares. A correction was issued @ 13:45. No conspiracy, nothing untoward, if you are an investor it was a good opportunity to top up, the end. There are a lot of posters on here who need to either grow up or engage their brain befor hitting the tippy tappy.

KAM, many reasons, mainly the path to commercialising Axis changed, Croda, lack of news flow. Many investors dont invest anymore they trade under the guise of investing, each to their own. For me the story hasn't changed, I await news on the acquisition and Croda.

The Axis sale were known in December. Everything else is on track, where does it say anything has been delayed?

Regarding Croda, what do you mean, "will the deal go through" they have found enhancments, additional claims, why is that a negative? We have a signed agreement that we get double digit royalties, no upper hand, the contract is signed.

As for cash, as of today we have about £3m, so about 18 months runway.
