Aquae, I disagree. Would you rather them get someone onboard who has 15,000 followers with a 4.5% engagement rate = 675. Or someone with 1.5m followers with 0.58% engagement rate = 8700?

I think this is a fantastic move by the company, hopefully it will bear fruit.

Thomas, I undestand the frustration I dont think anybody is particularly happy, but these digs are not helpful. The fact is we have just had an agm and Mr Ashman got re-elected, so the logical thing to do, is back the man or reinvest your funds in a "real company."

The problem with the £1.2m was the margins, as the saying goes, turnover is vanity profit is sanity, the margins on the distribution deals were extremely poor, sub 10%, whereas now we are circa 65%. The estimate was based on initial orders submitted by the various distributors that SA had received, I am glad he didn’t take the deals. Having said that I am disappointed with how sales have grown knowing how good the product is.

Let's hope we can get some exciting news over the coming weeks and we can all put this nightmare behind us.

1. Croda is down to Croda nothing SA can do about that. I agree its frustrating and its got to the point were I believe the right thing to do is for Croda to make a statement giving a guesstimate of launch date, it has gone on far too long and they are taking liberties.

2. The rns dated 29/12/23 said early 2024, seeing as SA had ambitions of closing in 2023 its fair to assume it cant be far away.

3. I assume your comment re sales is in reference to the £1.2m, if so this has been covered multiple times. If not, please elaborate.

4. As per the rns 30/11/23 "The study is expected to be completed and results reported by the end of Q1 2024.” Seeing as nothing to the contrary has been rns'd I would assume this is still the situation.

Small point, I said, “personally I don’t want the acquisitions, at least not at these prices.” In hindsight that was a stupid statement to make considering I have no information on the targets, what they bring or what they cost.

Bigpunt, I think the reference "technology development plans" will be backing our science into existing products of the acquisition target.

Nick, the interview has been in the public domain for weeks, since November, if anyone wanted to sell they have had plenty of time. Is there anyone left to sell, to sell at 15p would be stupid in my opinion. Croda news will be landing in the new year and that’s what I’m waiting for, personally I don’t want the acquisitions, at least not at these prices.

Bel, we get a double digit royalty on the value of the amount of lysate sold by Croda to its customers, so if customer A orders £5m of the lysate from Croda we get £500k based on my 10% e.g. That’s the only sale you need worry about, what Croda’s customer does thereafter has zero effect on us.

As regards how many lines the lysate is likely to be in, it's impossible to say. For e.g, let's assume L’Oréal is one of the VIP’s. L’Oréal have 36 different brands, one of those brands is Lancôme, Lancôme has over 150 products. So as you can see if we (hypothetically) said each VIP has 36 different brands and each brand has 150 products, that would equate to 64,800 separate products. Not even Croda will be able to tell you what lines its customers will be using the lysate in.

Bel, just stop. We dont get paid by the kilo or any other weight measurement, we get royalties based on sales revenues and well you know it, but just in case, let me make it perfectly clear.

We are on double digit royalties, let's say 10% to keep it simple. If Croda sell £10m of product we would get £1m, if they sell £50m we get £5m, is that clear?

Bel, why are you so keen on saving all these nice people from impending doom? I'm sure they are all grown ups.

Just a couple of points. I don’t think anyone is happy with the way things are. I personally would much rather us focus on pushing Axis sales hard in the UK and getting a guesstimate launch date from Croda rather than looking for acquisitions at this present moment. On the plus side I believe we are worth well north of 100p just on Croda, so irrespective of everything else, Croda underpins this and the launch won’t be far away. I dont love what i'm seeing but i'm not going to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Aquae, you are correct it does say that in the rns. I am also correct with what it says in the annual report which came after the results. I would also like to point out that those statements also included "During the financial year" which was up to the end of June, so it is historical.

Now if someone wants to ask if the vessel was full, enjoy, but I go back to my earlier question. Why would Croda spend more time and money on a clinical trial testing 2000 litres when its quite conceivable that the lysate will change again when scaled to 20000 litres? Here’s another question, whoever said the vessel would be full, maybe it needs room to ferment or some other scientific reason, I dont know, do you?

Irrespective of what SA says and irrespective of if the vessel was full, 50% full or 10% full, it is irrelevant, Croda have decided to do clinical trials at great expense because of the additional “significant additional bacterial activity.” They just aren’t going to do that on a batch size that isn’t representative of the final version they are going to ship, which by the way they have already done. How does that conversation go “here is some lysate vip customers go and do multiple formulations, but what you get in the end could be completely different because what we have sent you isn’t what we will finally sell you, speak later” Seriously!

All this discussion of, “yes, they may have run the 20000 litre vessel, but was it full" is just stupid. Croda have run the program how they see fit, Croda will tell SA what they want to tell him. Croda are in charge with this one and they are doing it in a way to extract the most profit from this project, which in turn benefits us.

Aquae, in the annual report it quite clearly states scale up has gone “through” 2000 litres.

“During this financial year, Sederma has been focused on developing quality formulations with their customers, which has seen scaling-up manufacture of SkinBiotixTM from 600 litres through 2,000 litres to the 20,000 litre vessel required to meet the global market demand.”

I am no scientist, but as has been pointed out multiple times, the lysate has changed during scale up and I find it very hard to beleive Croda would spend another chunck of time and money on clinical trials on a 2000 litre run when the lysate could change again when scaled to 20000 litres and the trial results would be null and void.

Bel, how can you say we have “decent assets” when Dr Damian Kelly says, “will break new scientific ground in the use of lysated bacteria in the cosmetic industry as a skin care active ingredient.”

Definition of decent, “of an acceptable standard; satisfactory.”

So you think breaking new scientific ground is satisfactory? Ffs, you must try harder bel!
