Regarding Avacta, I’ve topped up three times in last month on the basis that any placing when it comes will be at over 100p. So buying sub 100p is as good deal.

I received terms of a one for one 20p offer on one of my Lithium shares. Had to laugh. Lucky I’ve kept money aside to take it up in order to avoid dilution. SP yesterday was 120p so a good discount!!!!!!!

There are competing technologies for cancer treatments and a new one could emerge tomorrow so I don’t believe Avacta are complacent about progressing as fast as they can.

Timster, I’m not sure about the idea that because they are following a well defined process that there cannot be delays.

I’m sure I remember Avacta saying they would expect it to work better in humans than mice because of higher levels of FAP. But let’s just say that they hoped it would work as well as it did in mice, otherwise why proceed with the drug development. Therefore they would have had a good idea of what levels of Dox (and therefore AVA6000) they hoped to achieve. They would also know what the trial dosing regime was likely to be. So in my mind they would know roughly how many cycles it would take if the drug was to achieve its potential.

As usual you are purposely twisting what has been said.

No one said go straight from mouse trial into production. What we said is Avacta would have an accurate view of what the MTD in humans would be. Otherwise why bother developing the drug in the first place. So they also knew roughly how many cycles the human trial would take. “Surprised it worked so well”? They’d have been very surprised if it hadn’t worked as well as it did in mice.

All the abuse, sorry banter, on here amuses some but it is wearing to talk continually about peeps being paid to deramp or mythical shorting positions. In the main it is the more logical of us venting our frustrations at the fantastical ramping and talks of £20 a share next week

If you take the mouse trial results and predict performance in humans (which some said would be better anyway because of more FAP or some such - I forget now) then the clinical trial results can hardly have come as an unexpected surprise or whatever Al said at Christmas time.

Al would have known how many trial cycles AVA6000 would need to determine MTD and the likely timescales right after the mouse trials ended. But if he had announced those timescales then can you imagine what that would have done to the SP and his ability to raise finance.

Don’t bother to sling abuse. Just think about it.

Anyway we are where we are and it will all come good soon.
