Do you have amongst your groups of friends others who invest in the stock markets ? Do you enthuse about Avacta to them? What do they say?

I used to talk excitedly to relevant chums. With one exception they have said I must be off my head to invest in Avacta. Now I try to change the subject if anyone asks me how my biotech investment is going.

Yes but like it or not we are running out of working days in June. If arm2 hasn’t started its second round of dosing it is hard to see how we will get any results published before end of July. When does 1H24 officially end anyway?

I thought phase 2 is expected to start in 1H25.

How times have changed. When the deal was struck the Pom Pom girls were saying “it works” look at the brilliant investment it’s drawn in. While others were shouted down for pointing out that it was in effect a loan not an investment. Just another example of the ppg twisting the facts to suit their hyped narrative.

Nothing changes.

Have you ever paused to consider that if you hadn’t always interpreted the Avacta comms in the most positive light and then believed in the ludicrous hype you’ve been spreading on here for the past four years, that you might not be in the financial mess that some of you so obviously are.

More people need to want to buy than people selling. But who is going to want to buy? If you believe the posts on here then the PIs are pretty much all in, so not much buying from PIs. And IIs and BP have shown scant interest so far despite stunningly exceptional clinical trial results. So what is going to move the SP upwards?

Not sure which is the peer group to which you refer? Unless it’s the one that always interprets the ambiguous communications from Avacta, or even lack of communications from Avact, as good news!

As to needy adolescent : yes I admit my last post was also juvenile but even you must have recognised it was tongue in cheek.

I don’t pretend to be a biochemist but sadly this isn’t all about the science as we have already seen. Yes the science has to work but success is about far more.

As to offering opinions to companies on how they are run: that has been part of my professional role whilst working for 3 of the big five accountancy’s and also independently in the five years before I permanently retired. This to organisations far larger than Avacta in UK, Europe, US (where I lived for 2 years) and Canada.

And finally: I do expect to make some money out of my investment in Avacta and even more want it to succeed so that lives are saved. But what annoys me are the naive posters on here (or worse with a pump and dump agenda) that can only entertain early riches and have probably talked themselves and others into investing far too much into this company at this stage. Yes and that does make me emotional. I presume by your personal attacks you are one of those who is has a very large proportion of your investment capital in this share, maybe all your investment capital. Perhaps this is the peer group to which you refer in which case I don’t want to join it. But I do hope it makes you rich enough to have the lifestyle to which you aspire. Just try to look at the potential risks along the way.

Have to agree with GoSushi on this.

Avacta have to get really good results from arm2 even though it’s not supposed to be a test of efficacy because their PR and expectation setting has been woeful and led to distrust.

To ensure this the patients in the clinical trial have to be selected very carefully. For whatever reason this is proving more difficult than anticipated and therefore delaying the trials. IMHO

As another retiree of 20 years thanks to excellent investment management, I’ve never been so busy or well off. Certainly not worth taking any other paid employment when the government gets more than 40% of any remuneration £££££££££££££

No news is good news just as it’s always been

They are too busy just getting on with the job

They are under an NDA and a 40 day blackout

They are all at ASCO

And the point about IIs being able to wait for jam tomorrow is that if you only have say 1% of your investment capital in Avacta and your other investments are doing well, then you are more likely to wait for a much larger return further down the road than someone who has say 80% of their investment capital in Avacta.

This situation is probably evident from different emotions expressed on this BB!!!!!!!!!!

Doom scenario:

There are many reasons why a company might choose to takeover Avacta and then do nothing with the technology for say 5 years. Personally I don’t see that happening but there have been occasions when politics or pride or jealousy or . . .
