I really can’t see a T/O with the potential Avacta have revealed regarding third generation prodrugs. Plus essentially they are still scientists and are going to relish the amazing journey.

To me it is now obvious why Al went. He always said he wanted to take AVA6000 all the way. But CC has really switched the emphasis to developing the much more sophisticated third generation prodrugs. Didn’t you see how excited she was? She won’t let anything delay progress because what can be achieved is far more impressive than AVA6000 if that alone isn’t impressive. The potential is huge. Why carry on fiddling with AVA6000 if it risks delaying the main event. Get big pharma to pay for the privilege of developing AVA6000.

What happened to AVA3996. First generation not worth pursuing. Simples.

BUT the push now has to be getting the third generation prodrugs developed. A deal needs to be struck for AVA6000 which will raise necessary funds and remove the distraction asap.

My point is that Avacta cannot delay third generation prodrug development by concentrating on AVA6000. Strike a lucrative deal for AVA6000 and get on with the really clever stuff

Do a licence deal or JV on AVA6000. Use funds and freed up resources to develop third generation prodrugs. It’s unthinkable that they won’t want to develop the better drugs. It’s like carrying on developing a pushbike when you’ve got the design for a motorcycle.

I’m not arguing with that. Although I’m not convinced. I’m saying that Avacta cannot afford to delay development of third generation drugs by wasting resources on AVA6000. Get someone else to do the work and pay for the privilege

The funny thing is that you will be delighted when Avacta comes good and even more so because you think I want it to fail. But I don’t want it to fail. Not just because I have a large investment but because of the lives it can save.

Would you pump money into a drug when you have the means to develop a far more effective one?

Best to do some sort of deal on AVA6000 and use the money on the successors.

Question is how much more effort and money will they put into AVA6000 if it delays development of a much better third generation drug that can be better configured to provide better efficacy across a wider range of tumours.

But Avacta have limited resources and therefore it makes more sense if they concentrate on third generation drugs. Best thing would be to license AVA6000 and use money to push on with third generation
