Thanks WF for those kind words - the answer to your first para is yes, I do probably know more than a newcomer, but not too much more LOL.

As you say, the point lies in having faith in those who ARE doing the work.

It was Inan that encouraged me to get on board and an interesting ride it's been so far! Scancell and their associates are a truly amazing crew. And there's many on this BB who one feels can comment competently and it's a great asset to me and many more, I am sure.

Coming back to Debs problem - if Physiomics don't have the likes of 'Burbles' etc. etc. I think it'll a problem to get a feel for it science wise. Good luck to her.

Moving on, I want to observe again the remarkable pace things are moving at Scancell atm. Obviously things may change at a later stage, but concerns expressed that our CEO would have too much on after CH departed, seem happily misplaced. And all this going on despite pandemic stresses.

Debs can you not glean something from the Physionomics BB and RNS's? It's easier for us SCLP followers with Burble, Bermuda, Inan etc. posting as they do. If Physionomics BB doesn't have obviously knowledgeable and intelligible contributors, maybe that's a warning sign ? Good luck anyway.

Iofas - I'm here for yonks but still wouldn't claim to 'understand' the science in any detail at all - I mean, do you really understand Scancell's science, or do you rely on the comments of others who seem to ?

Hi. Just noticed your 10.44.

'Raiding the other forum' is a bit emotive. IMO generally there's absolutely nothing wrong with cross copying relevant info on both - many here don't look 'there' at all and vice versa. It's a matter of easing communications, getting more comments from other valued posters and sometimes keeping a discourse going with new points. It's purely helpful and the objections to it have been suddenly centred, IMO, on personal matters. The cross posting was accepted in the helpful spirit in which it is done, for many years, until the issue was seized upon recently.

Your words - "Looks to me like . . . . . . . (it's) not what the Company want." Well really - 'looks to me' - that's decisive then.

You show a fine appetite for the higher ground but I think your concerns are overstated. ATB

Bermuda - your thoughts are always respected here but in your last, I see one or two points.

You say, "She may be perfectly happy with that, but then again she may not. If she's not, then we are possibly causing her distress . . . " Well of course all things are possible but I cannot imagine her being distressed by these discussions in any way at all. I imagine she is joyous at her improvement and 100% focused on that. Discussion here has been nothing but loving and supportive to her and I don't suppose, she is even aware of the existence of these BB's or for that matter, of the 'twitter' circles that her revelation may be moving to.

If she is aware of discussion here, I find it hard to imagine that she would be distressed in any way - after all she has anonymity and furthermore would be more than grateful to the LTH who over a decade or more have in their own ways supported Scancell and Moditope.

Further if there was a matter of 'confidentiality' that will surely have been mentioned during her discussions for the trial and she has made her own decisions aware of that no doubt.

CC and Bermuda thanks - Scancell get full mileage out of their 40 staff. I'm guessing there is a long way to go but I can't get it out of my head how much they have achieved since the arrival of the Redmile funds AND that's despite the stifling conditions of the pandemic years.

Fears about the lack of a commercial 'perceived heavy hitter' seem to have been misplaced for now - the CEO has plenty of clout with her science (and charm) and that seems to have worked more than well, thus far.

All power to the Scancell elbow !

Hi Stan yes I'm doing ok atm thanks. 76 now ! Waitrose sounds fine to me but I noticed your 'specials' were disappearing off the shelves fast when I left the UK in September. Is that a 'retirement job' for you ? Whatever, I'm sure it beats hanging around on the BB everyday - not that I do that LOL except when it's raining.

Ray that's cynical indeed . . . it is extremely unlikely that anyone would contrive a story like that with many plausible details AND get it into Macmillan's journal - for what, fun ? I don't think so.

Ciaskin thanks for digging back. Someone alluded to Trish's prior posts yesterday and to see the post now, with those details, is quite uplifting - let's hope there are further revelations from Trish and other Patients as time goes on.
