You are giving Brian far to much credit. He has failed as a salesman and lets face it all CEOs have to be a good at telling a story. The company website is a great example. It looks like it is 20 years or so out of date and something you might find back in 2006. If the company was mainly R&D they have done a marvellous job in disguising it. The world sees a website and if the owner can not be bothered to keep anything up to date then everyone thinks it a useless place to do business. It costs just a few thousand quid to look professional and the company management do not care a jot. Consequently the company is worth hardly anything above cash in the bank. Can not wait to have someone professional in charge and give the appearance at least of a company going places. Tony

The two mines are owned by the State of Burkino Faso and I am not sure what they will do with them, perhaps find another buyer. The company that was buying the mines paid $35.6M to END last year as reported in 27th March RNS and was received last year. We know Lilium hit a vast number of problems afterwards. The arbitration figure for them to have the mines was $225M. It looks as if END has got $60M to be paid by the purchasing company to avoid a loss in court. The State has promised 3% Royalties to END with whatever they do with a functioning mine. Overall the $300M failed to recognise a number of costs that were impaired last year that were taken off that figure afterwards. It looks to me if if the divestment is around $118M overall and $105M less than previous. However, a lot of on-going costs and end of life mining issues would have been left with END now rest with the state. I suspect all of this was factored in and hence why the share price did not go up 24p to recognise any value in the deal and why we ended up down 12p on the day for only getting what they got. The media were reporting that END knew of security issues and in essence dumped problems on the buyer.

With the RNS pay out and at least $300M plus cash generation in H2 alone after taxes etc the company could be 50% debt free by end of this year.

At 2400 gold 3% Royalty rate along with $60M equates to $84M income. Settles 10% of the company debt or has a value of 25.75p in the share price. Without the royalty the benefit is over 18p.

HL and several others are held on behalf of private investors. What has occurred is that excess selling in part by institutional holders has not all been taken up by PIs but also a few new institutional holders. After doubling checking my holding to January 2024 the total drop was 59%, but the vast majority happened in April. Most companies are valued at a premium to what they have in the bank.

The removal of 125M shares does wipe out 38% of the share base in any case. Several new entities have bought Nanoco shares as well. LOAM still have 8% of the company. LOAM made a lot of money out of Shanta Gold going private in April (so did I for that matter).

You mention an intention to re-invest, was it nanoco or another tech company?

I hold 50% of my previous position last financial year and Nanoco is now around 3% of my portfolio. Is the company a zombie with no prospects at all or does it have some valuable IP and a chance of some future value post Tenner or is it only useful as a CGT loss against future gains that may otherwise be taxable.

Good news AS. You have winners in play. Life is to short to worry about the occasional pitch and toss loss. If your winning on the bottom line that is what counts. Anybody managing their own portfolio and wealth has courage. Only a small percentage achieve results that fair as well as professional paid investors. I can just about do it with an average of 5-6% per annum myself. If you are achieving that then you are doing better than most people as many lose a fortune. Tony

Perhaps they had to many. The mystery today is how can USA bond yields go down when the currency is tanking. Pound gains 3.85% against USD in one day. USD RSI weekly on 28. Have not seen this in years.

My wife just confirmed what you have said Steve. Nothing much, but the 818,000 downward jobs correction has seen the punishment on USD today. Support lines are gone and weekly RSI on 28, the hourly is struggling to hold the RSI on 21. The reserve currency getting absolutely devalued. Pound now above 1.32. When USA can not back its own currency then gold could pass $3000 as USD is back to 2007 levels and the pound is worth 2 bucks. Trouble is that AISC in USD also takes off for the miners as the USD goes down the pan.

USD weekly RSI crashes into the 20's. Rare event. Currency is still getting hit.

USD down 0.6%. So whatever he has said has influenced the market.

Gold has gapped higher for USA open from 2484. Gold price in the USA markets always closes gaps eventually especially at the current size.

In the UK, we use losing positions to off set capital gains tax. If Pensana was your only investment why did you put all your eggs in one basket? I use losing equity positions to avoid paying Capital Gains Tax so that equity investments in trading accounts do not contribute to funding this country efforts to fight another countries war with somebody else. I wrote to Cathy Malins at RBW, Investors relations the other day. She replied that all the questions I have raised would be answered in a future RNS. These include a new reserve/resources report on Phalaborwa, the outcome of USA study getting to 99.5% purity NdPr and dy/Tb stream work is underway and finally environmental study progress concerning Phalaborwa as permitting can only proceed once it is complete. Hopefully those outputs then put us on the DFS, permitting, economic reports which are then followed by project financing submissions. In the meantime NdPr price are on the rise and expected to go higher in the autumn. The SP on RBW tends to rally before news arrives. In fact we tend to know something is up if it goes up 1.5p. If you are keen on RBW drip feed a position in. Progress has been slow and hopefully it will pick up soon. CEO here was a former CEO of Shanta gold many years ago.

Most analysts have not given a guideline on the gold price to equate with those target forecasts. Only analysts that provide a lot of detail to explain the modelling they have used to arrive at their target price is worth reading. If the gold price goes down so do the analyst forecasts, quite often after the event. If you are interested in gold miners read gold eagle news articles to see a variety of views and the methods they give to support what may happen to gold prices and gold miners. Tony

How do we know that you have not opened a CFD short this morning and just pumping your book. Your comment adds nothing. Why not write something on MKA they were down to 5p when I last looked or rainbow on 10p. Perhaps you may want to visit, nickel, tin and copper miners while your at it and give a critique on all of them.

The monthly RSI on gold futures is 77.8 and stochastics are 100%. I have never seen technical monthly data like that on gold. It is massively overbought.

Finally,

On 150,000 ounces my own model if $47M debt is paid off then trading range is 11.5-13.5p at 2400 average gold price.
