Its hard watching it fall back but I console myself in taking some profits on the rise say equivalent from 690 to 745p. I do believe we are going to back fill the chart gaps on this one and that is when I invest 5 times more on what I hold on the drop. If I sell out totally and miss a sharp V shaped retreat not knowing where the nadir will actually be I will have lost another bolt hold to make profits this year. May was a good month so its more likely June will be a bummer. H2 look good and will make 790p look cheap as chips.

Peel Hunt was 40p yesterday but the track record of all of them has not been good. Most analysts are basing Brent 4th quarter Brent price as below $28 a barrel. If it was $40 the underestimate on Tullow sales become $105M. So the profit they ignore becomes 3.4p per share. At 5PE rate that's a miss of 17p. So if Peel say 40 and Morgan say 24 it has to do with their view on oil pricing post hedge.

Looks like a bull trap on oil and oil stocks. I can hardly believe it. We will have to wait and see what they do with the USA open. We had 5 breaches of the resistance line and still no take off.

In just 90 minutes. We have a fierce battle at 26.2p area the 2nd resistance line. So far breached twice. When it goes its like a dam breaking.

The move has strength.

Can it push higher. One month high 28p next target and next resistance line is just above 32p.

Its $53 not $57 as you need to consider hedge costs.

Could well have a go at knocking out the 390p gap above at this rate. Luckily the original stake in play.

BP gapped horribly on the way down so there is a lot of future promise if we take a view that a company like BP does recover.

Only two gaps lower down 256.9- 266.45 (20 March) May have been the start of a major move so might not get filled.
311-313.6 created yesterday. All other small gaps like this unless they were less than 1p have eventually been back filled at lower down levels.

Its having another go. I have kept 2/3 on and only took off what I added at 305p the other day for just under 326p. Its highly dependent if Brent can continue going higher. I just feel there is an over estimation on the European recovery as lockdowns ease. A few days from now they will find a negative narrative. The key will be having the nerve to buy into positions on the pullbacks. BP has been back filling chart gaps of late but it may take a week or two.

We have another gap in the chart again so could eventually find 310-311p again. Struggling really to make a breakout. I could be wrong as I was with Lloyds yesterday which also has a chart gap. With retail charging in and the fund managers going short in a number of places it will be interesting how this all pans out.

It has found a bid in the last hour and although you could be right short term, I think its burning up buyer strength and not really going anywhere fast.

The chart is awful from 5 hourly and less and is in a firm down channel. Relying on support at 28p to hold.

If he goes all out aggressive and reaches for his declining base than the markets have a problem. If on the other hand lists out the problems and issues and what he is not happy with and says its time to meet up with Xi. If he describes what the carrots look like and that issues of concern are dealt with and be vague on the stick as everybody knows he has many to choose from. So he wants China agrees to review what caused the pandemic as the purpose is to prevent it happening again. That the security law is for HK to pass to satisfy its current status with USA.
