1. Out of all the interferons there are two showing efficacy against Covid -19 as it was believed as of April this year they were Interferon Beta-1a (Synairgen ) and alfa-2b which I think the Canadian researchers are working on. The Canadians are 3 months behind Synairgen and are yet to publish stage 2 results as far as I am aware. I am stilling looking at other interferons but of course they act on different parts of the immune system.

2. Injecting interferon Beta-1A into the blood stream has a history of adverse drug reactions. Hence why USA stayed clear of what Synairgen have done thus far. This product is a nebulised air delivery route and the observations noted in July were very different to what many may have expected. (Ignore any intravenous applications as they are not relevant as a competitive therapy solution.)

3. Interferon 1 family activates RNA protein kinase and Covid-19 is a single stranded RNA virus and so it is likely that it may have some impact on the replication rate of the virus in the lung.

The novelty is having a different delivery route to an organ desperately affected by Covid-19. It is also choosing an interferon that many would have avoided because of the previous history of adverse drug reactions in the intravenous route. Overall I can understand caution being taken, but I would certainly run a phased operation from a pilot run of supply and carefully watch over the process.

I do feel the Battle of Britain of moment is right now on Covid-19 in Whitehall. Quite often serendipity and chance deliver an unexpected solution and incredibly its potentially the Synairgen product against all the odds.. I just hope someone is brave enough to make the final decision to make this product available and if they need a cautious entry route apply it.

Its like someone discovers they have early cancer at stage 1A and they do not believe it as they have minimal adverse symptoms. Its only family members and the clinician who can convince them just how lucky they are to have the choice of an alternative healthcare pathway. It is just possible that Synairgen interferon therapy and route of treatment is that most desirably alternative pathway with respect to reducing mortality from Covid-19 and down grading the threat from this virus.

Do nothing and collect the dividends to at least back end of 2021. Evaluate where the share is heading at that point. BP may have said they are no longer exploring as so many known production assets companies are in trouble. As they pick some of these up the share value may well increase.

After this experience you know what never to do again. That is put all eggs in one basket.

I was looking at other interferons as well and my postgraduate thesis involved the complement system involving C3d etc. I also believe SG001 is a low risk item in the clinical tool kit. Its safe to use from what I can see. If I had the authority to make an emergency decision, I would order a supply for the hospitals taking in the most elderly Covid-19 infected patients. I would leave the local doctors and the patients the choice of taking the risk of treatment upon what we know on no fault arrangements as we know what happens if we stay with practices of last spring so that everyone was aware of risks. If we see those hospitals coping and discharging patients in a way similar to influenza outbreaks it could then be made more available within say weeks across the service. Any adverse responses could be recorded carefully, I believe there is a Department in Liverpool to deal with those aspects. It would allow the government other policies to work. The UK would be the show case for other countries who may then what access to it.

This is well above 1800 average many of us thought might be the case back in July. Extracting from tailings at 2g/t of gold this quarter will have been worthwhile.

Libya can only get up to 650,000 barrels a day because of war damage. Traditionally Saudi Arabia produced more when Libya is off-line so the onus is for them to cut back on most of what Libya produces. OPEC just need to confirm if that is what they will do.

Libya coming back on stream today (to an unknown extent) is why oil has dropped.

The answer is Libya blockade to be lifted. Russia I presume knew it would happen. We shall see what happens in response eventually to maintain the draw downs.

Gaps in are around 380p so nothing bad below. This could be the bottom for real.

Probably the bottom. I have not checked the historical low of last time to see if there was a gap in the chart back in March and whether it closed. If only stays above $43 then it is likely to be stable until the next disaster.
