I wish the SP gods on your side. 5 yrs actually is not a long time till retirement, that will fly by! I closed all but one of my Longs from 8p with a sizeable leverage. It paid for my kids future Uni. I'm looking to add another Long but I don't even mind Buying in at over 35p as that will signal a return to close the gaps; of course not straightaway. Can you imagine if it went back to pre Nov 2019 prices?!! However long it took. That would see yours and a lot of others retirement purses looking healthy.

Ranger4, agree with you there in sitting out. As the SP has consolidated into a really tight wedge. It's dying to break out either to the upside or down. Until there are some clear price action and i work on Daily TF's for TLW.
Atm I have both Long / Short positions which is giving me green (Just waiting to reach a certain price before I close it).
For me i want to see a nice break to the upside with a close/hold above 0.35 before i get back in.

Adam, i think it will range for 3 - 4 months in the price 0.2377 - 0.2750 before we see any LONG TERM Uptrend. Just my opinion.

I've read the jan account reports, I've read the April presentation of TLW. On the face of it TLW balance sheet is not great. Yes they have raised $0.5 Billion. However they've been dogged with some mechanical issues, They didnt get the results they wanted from a couple of wells. Heavy Crude which they said themselves is not cost effective to process. Another produced Light Crude with high Sulphur. Like another poster said (can't remember who). They've hedged there shares, they have 2 x flat rates for the coming months contracts with a ceiling rate. And again in the report TLW sid they are 40% dependant on the price of oil to not go below their flat rate of $45- 60+ (can't remember).
The chart I'm sharing is based on the 52MA that the SP has been struggling to cross on a number of attempts, it's now crossed below the daily uptred but long term down. I've hedged my long with a short but for ME. I will be closing my Longs if it crosses and closes below 23.5 then sit out and wait not even to buy in again until more positive sentiment happens based on not just oil price rising, the covid virus hitting a 2nd wave but if TLW can raise more cash from sales. The sales of their Ugandan business will return a share of the profit of sales but only if the price of OIL rises above a certain PB. It's all in the report so you dont have to take my word.

fair play, you're long term investor. You're right i'm mostly day tradeer with long term investments. Look no harm intended...it just makes me laugh that some posters on here claim to be investors but like to shoot the breeze about a stock that goes up pennies. You've already based your decision on the balance sheets or the company, EPS (actual vs forecast) and took the gamble with a long term view it will rise. Just leave it be and don't sweat about the fluctuations.

Answer me this...and honestly. Do you feel you're making good use of your time sitting on this BB and chatting crap? Saying that £500 day trade is nothing. This was just one of my many day trades.
btw good for you on your 2 SIPPS. Now go manage them properly or are any one of your stocks in your portfolio making you £500 that you can afford not to?

Don't feel bad for me Bully. Just an exmaple of what you're missing whilst you're ****ing in the wind with your one stock in your portfolio.

You could be investing your time in other opportunities to make money. i.e. Natgas just made me over £500 in 3Hrs. and still not reached my TP target 1.95

Welcome, i'm new to this BB. my only advise to you is to diversify your portfolio. I have a few stocks in Pharm, Healthcare, Tech, Indices, Commodities, ETF's (non leveraged). I also Intraday FOREX. If you can afford to then it might worth having someone to manage your portfolio. What are your objectives?

hahaha... i know. like age, name are relevant. I think he/she is old enough to make decisions for themselves.

I'd be surprised if anyone got burnt today! as i'd say most of us who have longs that were bought in the low teens or low 20's, even as low as single digits. Unless you opened up in the 30's or went high lev with tight stops.
Then i don't wish anyone to lose money in this game and at such trying times.

agree, as i've posted earlier. I'm doing well going Long, i also have hedged with a short with no lev, because i see a little pull back. (of course i could be absoutely wrong) But hey it's just an opinion.
