Nice try Colour, no such thing. When Cyan went over to Smart it was a risk, however it developed its hardware/software and got in with TATA securing south of Mumbai, then took over Connode on Northside. These turn out to be early days as Indian Government kept changing the requirements. So basically statements made were good intent at the time. We now have a situation where forward thinking has put us on a par with Tier 1. We seem as a result to have achieved good financing and with RDSS get up front payments. To me sticking with electricity Smart meters and developing management techniques is the way to go. DYOR. Hope you still have your shares.

Morning LTI, I feel we think mostly in same direction. As JC has indicated past predictions have been bold, then along comes new India regs, more R&D, more costs. All outside CCs control, Connode sold up to our advantage, margins were bound to fall a bit with time dragging on and new companies appearing. I think CC concluded that as experts the way forward was as AMISP. They will make money as Smart Comms suppliers but have opened up a whole new field with good returns. The ROW and financing awaits. In my opinion pretty shrewd moves all round. DYOR.

Hello Grant, good observations. I have been in longer than expected and averaging adds to costs. Remember when I bought Cyan shares by the millions. Over the years, as a sideline, to occupy me I dabbled mainly in and out of FTSE. With CC we got near to the brink of profit or disaster often but there was a what if. At long last I think we have a what's next.

Morning all, I am now possibly boring, especially to Colour, but my oversight is this, CC has come a long way with AMISP, we would have likely made a profit with supply only but never a fortune, being a Sub. We are now in the big league equal say to Intellismart (not in cash), we are hands on, very useful, not just Solutions. To be able to say to Utilities tell us what you want and leave it to us could well be what they want to hear, followed by SLA, timely progress, getting early profits. Must be ideal.

Finance has always been a headache but with TOTEX, which I presume will be the new norm, these SPV contracts will be self financing, the remaining problem being getting manpower together and maintaining momentum.

After all these DYOR, but be quick.

Hello ruprecht, yes I agree, whereas CC was having to offer the bulk discounts they will now be getting them. CC/Digismart appear to be moving quickly at last, have the SPV up and running and all parties are probably eager to get underway. If similar financing (7%) to last loan can be procured then expansion could be rapid with all the Sanctions ready to be signed out. May even spread their wings to bid for more AMISP contracts, always a risk but expertise will grow. Not intending to sound like a 'Dellboy' but India could be a once I in a life time. DYOR.

Thanks for that LTI, additional to that, we know that CC will be the selected meter/smart comms provider to Digismart which I suggest changes the time scale. Smart Meters are electronic/digital meters which via Smart Comms are converted to Smart meters. So CC has a list of suppliers of meters who can accommodate CC, meaning many millions of meters if necessary. Non-agnostic suppliers are limited to their own supply chain. I think that's right.

So with CC being the Smart Comms/Meter provider are there many other Subs for this type of contract. Observations.

Colour, existing contract payments is a seperate issue, surely even you must be bucked up the AMISP achievement. This is the future. JC will probably give us update on previous revenue collection. I should think most contracts like INDORE were fully settled.

I should not think it will take long to arrange Subs, may be this week as CC is main sub for the meters and smart, with other Subs most likely pre-arranged. With 3 month loan, probably used to stockpile meters, I should imagine CC will want to get underway with the advanced payment. DYOR

Gizmo, I always struggled with the word SANCTIONED; CC could make a name for itself, if finish is on time. May be also have a look at Water. Could be a start.

To me the current situation must be a strong buy. CC about to get underway with a £70m order, in charge of it and with higher mark up. The test of strength will probably be how CC India get on with the hands on bit during first 3 months. They seem to do very well in Indore and show cased by Indian Government. DYOR.

Well Colour I must agree, more regular trading statements to see where the money is going, say every 3 months. CC is laying out a lot of cash to secure its presence but share holders must be given assurances.

Unbeknown Digismart was being created but we had break even dates come and go, did not help SP. It may be difficult but we must be filled in on details like the 10m AMISPs contracts being applied for. Now we are our own bosses we don't need to be held by restrictions of Intellismart etc. Once an AMISP contact application is made it must be common knowledge so list them individually, create some excitement and interest. In my opinion it is strange getting no response on London Exchange. Hopefully CC is active enough to consider dual exposure on India Exchange where we are better known.

Thanks gizmo, that goes back to 2019, do Trilliant make meters or are they like us, Smart and HES, I think Intellismart in India use them only for HES.

Re-reading my comments yesterday I was not intending to be negative, I think CC is in the best position. Intellismart and CC are at the same level, that is AMISP, but the difference is Intellismart is solutions whilst CC is hands on. JC said he approaches Utilities and says leave it to us to set up best system, I would think that is what they want to hear as long as trustworthy. I would be surprised if Intellismart could say that. Remember when we went into Bihar (1m units) to sort a problem for them. To me with financial backup CC could meet many large orders. Thanks for that gizmo, a lot more detailed but why didn't CC give the same detail for a follow on, at least names. Intellismart by its creation will get a lot of approved contracts running into 1000'000's, CC will only be part of it I should imagine; as I have said I hope we are not being used for the difficult stuff, I would have expected another pipeline order with so much going on. Have a look at the Kimbal and read the comments of Intellismart. At the end of the day there is tons of work in India and CC is capable of doing end-to-end.

Thanks for that gizmo (Aug 24), the problem I had with that RNS was that it did not say enough. Why was not Intellismart mentioned, it could equally be Genus. Was this all for one project, if not the stops and starts, regardless of 27 months, could go on and on, what part of maintenance would we be responsible for. Basically was the 6.5m a second pipeline with Intellismart, or follow on with another partner.

Hello Grant, I may have met you. You have been out a long time and things have gone up and mostly down. However recently we were back to 14p and with a good possibility of rising quickly. Give it a thought, getting back in at this price could work, with what is going on there is a fair chance of a good result.
