jake, it is a Government contract via Telefonica/Toshiba so unless they go bust it is guaranteed. I understand Anil is doing very well in India, he is all over the place, JC has managed to get the BI contract which will probably turn out to be very lucrative especially if they expand CC into China at no cost, Mysore, Indore are doing well.
The trouble is, as I said just now, the minions want to run the company and that does not happen. Imagine Fords BOD saying Mr Jake from Plumstead wants us to build a 3 wheeled car to save on tyres. Joke jake.

Hello woolley. We all know that 2019 is going to produce a make or break. To me we are there, as soon as SMETS2 starts showing income which is guaranteed and improves the monthly books it will be all systems go.
Anybody buying now will see a profit and anybody averaging will come down a lot.
Unless anybody has 1% I don't think they have the right to act like they own the company.

Hello mrsas.. Yes that's right SMETS2 has been underway for a while what got put back was the date that Government would recognise SMETS1 for installation.
SP is being manipulated again as circumstances have very little changed. As JC has said the new Omnimesh has been fully R&D so no extra costs. Monthly costs will fall dramatically probably to low £500 pm less incomes so should be well on the way to breakeven by middle year and into plus in H2. Don't know if we will get any advanced payment on BI but that will be coming H2. As JC says he is now focusing on PR to get CC well known especially with the corporates.

That looks good chem.. Others getting involved means telecoms connections will speed up and 'notspots' filled.

Hello jake.. I don't think they will ever sort their differences out. Hope it does not distract India from its expansion plans. Especially with Elections looming.
Could, just could, increase the need for IoT security with most things revolving around software.
CC being independent with GCHQ clearance could improve its desirability as it can now enter other fields of M2M.

Thanks for that LTI.. If correct it tells the story of delays not just for CC. That is a long time to have been delivering on an agreement. Reading the site it is a pretty big arena to be involved in.

Hello fulcrum.. Go with your thinking entirely. Several times we have been up to the starting blocks only to find another problem and have to have a further purchase to Average. I am not a normal AIM holder and this my only share. I must admit I have spent more time on CC than any other and would have expected a result by now. I to would have dropped out of Cyan some years back if it wasn't that I saw potential. Most of the problems have not been home grown, we only got UK by default but is about to come good. Not overnight but a continuous build up. If we can get to breakeven then over the next few years it will be like a snowball and as CyanConnode becomes the centre of RF (hopefully). I was not in favour of leasing initially, just wanted to see the money, but others have done well and its always coming in.
We are now into the realms of PR. for this product so R&D may reduce more. Breakeven would be £650k p.m. which I see as doable from existing contracts shortly. This BI thing could well be a blinder, so CC gets paid $4m (for starters) for doing nothing, so BI wants the ability to say to its customers,new and old, we have this bit of kit which is the latest and cheapest (China would love that), its easily installable as already in meters and only needs Utility hook up and can be rapidly expanded. I would not go as far as eating my hat but I see good vibes for 2019.

Hope you all got a chance to see video. To pinch a contract off of Silver Springs is an achievement and perhaps we will get more that they would have chased. I understand that Itron produces a pretty big (size) meter so would not suit all situations.

We know the UK DCC roll out is getting underway to it is just a few months for that income to be seen increasing.
It has taken an enormous amount of time for CC to reach this stage but we are here and it looks like the income will start to arrive. For those critical of BI don't forget this $4m is a gift for No Contribution and additional money will come from that direction when meters are activated and that could be millions of meters. That is a WIN WIN.

Hello Seawolf.. I don't think share dealing, especially AIM, is for you. My persistence with CC is that I feel that despite slowness of progress it is going to come good and extremely valuable. It's a peculiar field where nothing seems to be straight forward which is not down to CC etc but governments and Utilities. R&D costs have been prohibitive over the years but unfortunately necessary to keep up with the larger companies. We have come to the point where all R&D is done for current Omnimesh and contracts are being being fulfilled (UK after long delays), I do not see further cash calls.
As JC said the big investors are still in, Insurance, Pensions, Funds etc. and although a bit usual its the PI's who may be affecting the SP. So you could say that its the Mouthy negatives who are pulling SP down and loosing their own money (not Stedon) as a result. Only my opinion but think 2019 could be a good return for you and me. Could possibly get an update when February is out.

Quite right ITT, CC is now in the newsflow/PR area and they are putting their name about but they must keep everything up to date to avoid moaners criticising every little word.
The latest contract is a bit on the small side but is probably part of a mushrooming effect towards a big total plus dare I say it again the subsequent leasings. I am sure that in the early days ARM and InTel did not get billion $ orders overnight. The fact Pension Funds etc have not pulled out says it all. They are in it for a 20 year haul although hopefully not that long.
2019 is moving towards a prosperous outcome.

I suggest we wait until end of Feb or beginning of March. The SMETS2 will not be showing any big sums until April onwards but there is probably some income arriving from UK. My interest is that we have started to chip away at the roughly £650k per month outgoing. Once I see a reduction, which I am convinced we will, then I expect a continued reduction until break even.
Repeating myself, after all these years of ups and downs primarily not the fault of CC we are arriving.
We know the UK minimum figures, BI figures which hopefully we will get some down payment on, some figures on leasings old and new which with Turnkey system feedback on activation should give us up to date information.
I am also eagerly awaiting a Podcast from Anil on his recent careering around India and financial fortunes of CC (India).
I can hold my breath a few seconds more. I like his enthusiasm.

Good point 2cv but even woolley and Greengrass are fairly astute and know it is not long now.

A good observation Chem. As we know because of the product the orders do not arrive for completion the following month, with one or two exceptions. The product has been refined so that it can now be used in all markets and domains. I understand that Anil is very busy in India. We are just coming to a head in UK. CC could be big with BI for Internal in China and BI's external contacts. Product side it is job done, now it is PR/Advertising. JC has enough contacts to put in about.
Not long now.

Just to oblige woolley. Strong buy. Early days for the licensing returns but the up front payments should soon go a long way to reducing costs to break-even. SMETS2 got put back to March/April but then gets chargeable officially, so SMETS1 then finished. If we get to the 20% RF then they should be going in fast. A 30% need has been calculated and any problems with SIMS side of SMETS2 could lead to 30%+.
All guess work and hearing different bits of gossip.

So much for trying to lay it out in an orderly fashion.

Hello woolley.. Just come across the note where JC predicted the total possible value for UK Contract of £74m. I thought he had said it at meeting but in fact it is in print, handed out at 31st Jan London.
I think it must have been circulated but it says:

Contract licence fees until 2020 £ 6m. £13m. £20m.

Support fees ( over 15 years) £18m. £36m. £54m.

Total £24m. £49m. £74m.

I think the medium is an odds on and high very likely.
We are talking over a 15 year period for support but if this is going on all around the world then that is a massive return.
This is based on the original omnimesh but if CC moves towards Advanced Omni for IoT who knows.
As LTI would say 'early days'.

I am surprised it does not breakout Greengrass.
This year is only surmise at minimum but there is nothing against, costs are falling. A good year to come.
For an investor at this point a good 100% markup, possibly much more.
