Judging by the fall in Avacta's share price, it looks as if some investors are interpreting the 'progress is being made' statements, rather than a 'here it is and it has been approved and it is being rolled out' statement, as holding type statements perhaps indicating difficulties that were not forseen by Avacta.
Also, a paranoid person might take what sounds like a very positive development, that the nucleocapsid protein is another target that can be detected, as an indication that the spike protein test is not sensitive enough.
However, I am inclined to give Avacta the benefit of the doubt, as they have convinced several partners to devote considerable effort to the Affirmer approach and these are organisations with expertise.
As a rapid PoC Antigen test, which is manufacturable in huge numbers, which is what Avacta has a good chance of achieving, is what is needed to get back to something like normaility, then the upside for Avacta is huge.
I will continue to keep an eye on Avacta to see whether I can buy cheaper.
Test, test, test
