Dr AS also advised in a previous RNS that the MS manufacturers would also be expected to get involved.
MS in the NW of the UK is a multi billion industry. So no doubt the manufacturers will dtep up to the plate as other workers have to address this pandemic.
What this also means is that test procedures will be optimised and other MS may be available.
Not sure why a magnetic sector instrument cannot be used. Would be interested if some of our chemists can answer.

What I would like to see is announcement of partnership for Avacta's Therapeutic.
The Sng therapeutic is based on a protein. The affimer is also protein based. Will the affimer therapeutic work? Is funding available to investigate??
Avactas BMS product proves affimers work at detecting covid 19 as does the LFT data provided todate.
Hopefully Avactas pipeline will warrant big pharma attention.

Primerdesign who provided a WHO approved gold standard test to the party got the contract scraps. Thats what 100k brings. Contacts. It stinks.

Randox - The company, based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, supplies tests to more than 40 countries and won the second biggest contract for testing in the UK, worth £133 million. Only Hologic won a bigger contract worth £151 million.
However the government was criticised at the time after it emerged that Tory MP Owen Paterson receives £100,000 a year from Randox to act as a consultant.
Primerdesign received a very small contract in comparison for their WHO approved "gold" standard.

From the PCR tests history, FDA EUA approvals took about 24 hours with US suppliers. The connection with Cytiva is key here.

Hence, I conclude FDA EUA approval should be rapid once Avacta announce optimisation data and progess to the next stages (see Ophidian post on scheduling/timescales).
