RE: Optigene - ouch!!6 Nov 2020 06:56
Phantom, look at my posts on BRH, Syme.
I am invested big time in Avacta.
I am not going to speak badly of Avacta.
Does the LFT work or is Cancer Precision development the direction of travel.
I believe ALL tests are needed. This is underlined by DrAS assertion of limited capability.
The lack of S&S data (lab or clinical) was and is a concept to me. But from research speed of the testing was determined to be the important test parameter. Test sensitivity is secondary to frequency and turnaround time for COVID-19 surveillance.

Then Carl's test came to my attention. His test is fast, sensitive and with the aptamer specific.
The market cap was an added bonus as an invester.
Will the Innova test cut the mustard??

The Independent spoke to the right person, Prof Deeks, who is raising the same questions ,as mysrlf including:
* Just what are the S & S for the Xiaman Biotime tests that the UK evaluation found?
* How do you cope with the false negatives?
* How to encourage people to take part in the testing.
Now questions about the Optigene test from Greater Manchester’s mass testing expert group and questions about the Xiamen Biotime test, for which the detailed evaluation results have not been published!
Are good are the LFT tests. How good is LAMP.
Check my posts on LAMP on the NCYT BB.
I did a lot of research on LAMP. It was a speedy alternative to the Primerdesign PCR test assay.
Today I find it looks like LAMP does not cut the mustard!
Will the Avacta test cut the mustard??
I really do not know! I can only go on information I have. Anything else on LFT is premature.
Do they work in South Korea, China?
Or is the whole process of test, track and trace and isolation the determining factors for successful outcome?
The Track n Trace is not working and very few people are isolating!!
I have ran to the top of the Avacta hill like and all LTH and been parked there for months.
Happy to stay there.
But that does not stop me commenting on a new test using a different approach. Professor Carl Smythe's test at BRH may be the test, the ONLY test that meets the MHRA Guidelines Desired Criterion. I cannot change this! Fact is fact!!
Anyway, at the end of the day you are responsible for your own investments.
All tests are required.
All tests are winners.
The best tests will be procured more and have a better shelf life!
Diversify, RMS provide a Covid KILLER face mask!
At tge end of the day without a vaccine or therapeutic test, test, test is the only solution!
Test, test, test
