Key bit of the Yorkshire Post article:
"The next steps in the development of the test will be the collection of clinical data using live Covid-19 virus and refining the detection device..."
The words used are not inconsistent with the both following two scenarios:
* The test has been evaluated with live virus in the lab, but not in clinical trials, as yet.
* The test has not been evaluated with live virus in the lab and has not been evaluated with live virus in clinical trials.
I am now wondering which of the two scenarios it is.
I am hoping the first! Imagine!!
I am also not sure what the cost will be per test and the cost of the machine. Carl said competitive with existing tests (PCR).
Q1 2021 seems very speedy to get through the regulatory process.
At any rate, personally I have confidence that an excellent test will be developed. It makes one wonder how competitive Avacta's BAMS and ELISA tests will be with Carl's test. Perhaps there is room for all if there is a manufacturing bottleneck with Carl's new test machines?
As an Avacta shareholder, I think there will be!!

Do not forget its all about the market cap for me. The MM can play their games today, but the market cap rerates tomorrow! That's when the fun starts as shorters try to buy back to close positions and people buy in on the rise!
As the share price fluctuations happen today, look at the market cap and assess what this is against the value you place on the Company.
This tells you if the share price today is oversold, fair value or overbought!!

They bought GGP shares and over a period had a structured series of sales whuch realised large significant gains, allowing the Directors to reinvest the proceeds of the share sales in accordance with the Company's stated investing policy.

So if the float stays the same here and the shorters reduce the share price then tomorrow the Market Cap rerates the shares. As the ability to purchase shares is difficult to close positions, this could drive the RMS share price higher further rerating the shares as the shorters scramble to close their positions!
Very interesting indeed this reverse psychology!!

If they hold them then the free float here has not changed. If you cannot buy shares to cover a short position would you want to short this before takeover?
Takeover today is all about the closing share price the market cap and the free float.
Do the maths with various market cap scenarios.
£20M, £50M, £100M.
If the share price closes low today then tomorrow it rerates. If shorters cannot close positions (due to the limited availablity to buy) then RMS rerates fast.
If the share price rises to give £100 Market cap today, then the takeover I would argue impacts shareholders more! A rerate does not happen. Sales can only move the market cap.
So where is the equilibrium position??
Today we find out!
Expect Volatility and large ATR to occur today.
The point I make is that a lower close today could be of significant value to shareholders as the market cap rerates tomorrow.
So everyone today has a dichotomy. Holders and shorters!!
Its all about the market cap and as a LTH the bigger picture.

Like testing, where the best tests rise to the top, the ability for the UK to manufacture and licence a covid KILLER face masks and other covid KILLER products is of significant benefit to UK plc.
UK Manufacturing is needed to pay back the covid pandemic bills.
Control of PPE Quality was a major learning outcome from wave 1 for me! More reason to procure from UK suppliers!

Well Innovate UK funded the research grant here, sp hopefully the UK Government are aware of the P2F story of the UK covid KILLER face mask.
Just to reiterate the story line I emailed my MP tp advise of the UK covid KILLER face mask and based on a recent Which survey to determine if MPs should look at a regulation rating for covid for face masks.
