Here is a question .... why would a Biontech or another pay billions to license our tech when they could probably take the whole company over for well under 1 pound per share .... I am pretty sure given where we stand share price wise at 50p, 60p, 70p a majority of shareholders would sell ....yes we all make good money but not the type of money that the "science is worth".... I think this represents the biggest risk to some of our blue sky thinkers views on valuation ..... thoughts on this our most welcome.
Inan, it seems to me despite your protestations that you do actually care about the share price .... I think it challenges you that for the moement the market does not place a value on the science that you do .... I think psychological you find that challenging .... hence our long back and forward today and your interest in correcting my views about things other than the science which are effecting scancell.
Sorry Inan, not crumbs ——
Crumbs, please expand on the non existent flaws that I have identified?
Inan .... just to be absolutely clear .... nobody is saying the current sharprice reflects the potential of any of the science ... you seem to equate any discussions of problems or flaws with the company to that .... I certainly dont think that I dont think anyone does. But where you see a very specific outcome some of us see a range of outcomes based on the what if .... they could very from pence to pounds and this is the discussion that seems to exercise you a bit.
I think he was interested in Modi ... given it does not yet have the data ... maybe a range based on the possible efficacy
inan, I think he wants to understand the values you have used in the past £s per share .... I think he wants to understand how you have been able to come up with those values. So maybe that is where you could start....
Ruck, Sorry you have been put in the naughty corner along with me .... I am not really sure you deserve it.
Inan, thanks for dropping by ... same time tomorrow ?
No ... I dont recall saying any of those things .... but if I did I gladly retract it
Inan,
I tell you what answer me this with a "proper answer" rather than a throw away line and I will leave you be ... Why are none of the pharma specialist asset managers on the shareholders register .... what is holding them back in your view ? I accept they tend to have more of a US tilt but most are able to make exceptions.
Inan, our relationship is one-side I am afraid as I find you endlessly amusing .... just for my own clarification, despite all the what ifs that we cant set our clocks by ... there is only upside in SCLP ? No possibility of downside ?
Well I bought and may add because as you said earlier it is a gamble .... there is a range of outcomes with differing probabilities and we each use our judgement and risk tolerance to try and combine those for a profit .... as you said earlier it is a gamble and surely gambling is based on what if ?
I will endeavour to be more entertaining.... but you seem to be having trouble lining down your specific problem with my views, lack of entertainment factor aside.
Yes funding is based around what ifs .... but as you say your self if Biontech take it forward .... is that not a what if ?
See I am not disagreeing with you even though you want to see it like that.... yes only good science becomes commercial ... what that is ultimately worth to a shareholder is determined by managements ability no ? If you agree with that we can get in to details of managements short comings.
My point is good management understands the points you made and has a plan to minimise the execution risk and the self inflicted wounds ... they make sure shareholders expectations are fully aligned, they make sure the finances are bullet proof. They make sure nothing gets on the way of the science .... in my view our management don’t do these things and at best are average .... just so we are clear poor management and great science can still lead to excellent returns .... good management and great science can lead to spectacular returns wilts far less heartache
Ok, I am 100pct with you on those points ....
inan, so what is the problem that no one is faulting the science ? Surely that means you have made your points ?
Inan , I can recall very few posters telling anyone on the Board to sell ....
