Profits are always chased. Short term traders operate in an area where the rules governing long-term investing, especially around valuations, are blindsided, because they are irrelevant to the game being played.
You have to remember that money always chases returns to the greatest extent it can.
If an asset has momentum, and it's been moving consistently for a period of time in an upwards trajectory, short term traders will take the cream. That's what happened here no less, and it's the same throughout aim, whilst short term traders are allowed to continue their dirty practices, there is never any room for long term investors in the aim markets, it is and will always remain financial suicide, so the only way to survive in this dirty market place, is to work out a strategy of where to exit ahead of the trading gangs! my views.
