On 8 November Reuters reported that the Saudi Wealth Fund had raised their stake in the company to 20.5%. They need 30% to then be in a position to attempt an acquisition I believe. They might not be that far off if they are quiety accummulating more shares by stealth in the background. Any thoughts?

IKN as you well know, the previous Nomad walked, and without notice. Is history going to repeat itself?

Nothing copy and paste about that IKN, it's actually factual and very much to the point. What's your view on what will happen if the Nomad can't be paid?

It can't be long surely before the Nomad walks? If there's no money left how is he going to be paid? He will be within his rights to terminate the contract if pay ceases and then the inevitable of no Nomad = suspension = strong possibility of delist. Suspension or WUP order, which will be first? The only thing I would say is that in the third quarter of 2023, US treasury bond yields were doing okay at around 4.5-5%, so not sure why the company have not cashed the same in, but they probably realise it would be throwing good money after bad so to speak, and so better to leave it out of the jurisdiction where it's out of the authorities claws here! just my views.

I'm a bit behind the curve as took a position first thing here, and had seen the ft article (link below). Looks a very interesting prospect, and can see this source of battery power taking off for run around town cars which I think is going to become a dominant feature for two car+ families. My brother and his wife have SUV electric for long distance, and a smaller electric car for daily run arounds. However, current electric vehicles do not come without their issues, one being, as my brother discovered early on, when unfortunately someone hit his SUV head on, that it takes an age for the UK car retailers to get replacement batteries from Japan and China! Hopefully, AMTE, along with Northvolt who are already working on it, will solve many of these issues, and provide a much better environmental impact in to the bargain. Can see AMTE being a potential acquisition target. DYOR etc.

Well everything is risky territory at the moment, the way the markets are, best to diversify a bit and spread your investments, so I've taken a few small positions this morning in FAB and AMTE, but as always DYOR! never follow the crowd!

Oh miraculously, whilst typing this, caseboard have just emailed to say they now have the document I requested and I can access it! Problem is you have to complain bitterly in the first place for a service that's not provided! what's new!

A friend of mine's son works in the cancer research field. Any breakthrough in the field is greeted with a high 5 and cancer researchers are always being poached. Makes me wonder if FAB will be bought out by a more majorily player in the field, any thoughts any one? as I can see it as a possibility.

There's nothing misleading, the links are there and people can draw their own conclusions. The Saudis have increased their stake, they are coming in to the UK to take over where the Russians left of when they exited, hence why they are interested in our football clubs and other major investments here, and the Tory Govt will welcome them with open arms. You watch. Nothing is safe. And quite frankly, if AML get an offer too good to refuse, Stroll can't ignore it. Stroll is now 64, 65 next July, I suspect he'll have a very nice 65th birthday present! :)

The Saudis have increased their stake. The sp is being played with, someone appears to be accummulating, and you always have to read between the lines of everything, including what Stroll is up to!
