Not confined to HSBC - AJBell are in precisely the same situation, especially earlier in the day but also after 3pm too. Despite numerous complaints to them, I've finally given up complaining and just accept it for what it is. Sometimes it costs the investor a significant amount.

The DBX is priced 'from £158,000', so around £180,000 for most purchasers. And there will be lots of those: Porsche's two SUVs accounted for 65% of all Porsche sales in 2019. Lamborghini's Urus SUV has been an immediate success, doubling UK sales for that brand.

The owners and their advisors are without doubt the most commercially astute for many years and just maybe, they will now get inconsistent quality and unforgivable faults right, if they can control dealers and service outlets. It does surprise me just how forgiving Aston owners are when their cars go wrong in ways that mass market cars don't these days: "Ah but it's an Aston Martin".

As for F1, which is not at all the same thing but leaves an afterglow anyway, with Vettel leaving Ferrari now, you have to wonder if Hamilton would like to see his career out with a brand that punches more than its weight: Ferrari or Aston Martin? Hmm.

Sadly, when it comes to investing money, emotion is an important factor but it is not the defining factor in this case. Back on the fence, for now.

pumpky thanks. Someone famous once said "there are many reasons why someone might sell a share, but only one reason why they buy". Granted he's not a director but as a significant shareholder (very until recently), there could well be a conflict of interest, although it was there before.

Payments might be a factor in future trading but if they act sensibly, in particular with new customers, it might well be OK. Wish I knew a bit more about this sector.

Why is George Stavrinidis selling down at this point? Makes me just a bit nervous as he must know more than me.

As React said in their Half Year report: "We believe demand for deep cleaning and decontamination will increase again as the country returns, albeit in stages, to some form of normality".

On the face of it, this is a business in the right place, at the right time. What's the downside?

VanV: I take the point, but still fail to see how, even having done as much research as possible and listened to all the diverse opinions (mostly polarised), anyone can claim to make any informed guesses at values in the case of NCYT.

Like many, I can't help thinking the true short- to medium-term value of NCYT is higher than the present SP. Having said which, I'm concerned that seemingly outstanding RNS's (and maybe I'm reading them as an optimist) barely move the needle. Even trying to filter out (in my mind) the wild comments, I'm still perplexed. I usually trade in the expectation that there are lots of others who know more than I do.

One good thing about trading this share is that Bourse offers some excellent guidance on opening prices in London.

Most of all for my part, I agree with you that this is one Covid share that is already doing business and turning a profit, probably a very good one too.

Precisely. Knightian uncertainty. Your average PI can only guess and for Covid-related shares, that has never been more so. Sentiment drives price, not fundamentals.

Followed NCYT for a while now and can't help thinking those who are regulars on this BB might actually be right in that they can sense when an RNS is coming.

Many posters just keep saying "RNS coming!", more in hope than anything else, but regulars probably do have a sense of when an RNS might come. Certainly this is one company that seems to use the RNS service in an intelligent, strategic way, don't you agree?

I particularly like the understated tone of the releases, makes them more credible.

Agree with others that it doesn't hurt to look at charts but for most if not all of these Covid-linked shares, they have less value than in a predictable market with companies that follow recognised patterns of growth etc.

I'd say this is truly a time of Knightian uncertainty. That doesn't happen very often! It's what makes the potential for very big gains possible - whereas we might have been happy with two or three percentage point increases in a share over perhaps a week, now we get bored if we don't see double-digit change almost daily. Investors with a greater propensity for risk have the potential to make outrageous gains at the moment.

Myst1 thanks, that's an interesting perspective. And thanks to everyone else who commented. I don't hold more than I can afford to lose, this is part of what is essentially a defensive portfolio with half a dozen highly speculative shares at the moment. So far, so good but I seem to have a flatter (more realistic?) view on all of these shares, NCYT. ODX et al.

Even though there are two arms to the trial now, home and hospital, it is still the same drug. I think the difference may be that earlier administration of SNG001 may be a better choice although watching back the Panorama clip from last night, I'd be amazed if SNG001 had really made such a miraculous difference in what can't have been 24 hours even. The interviewer did prompt for a positive answer.

I'm staying with it and will continue to have, as I said, concerns. If they were anything greater than that, I'd get out with less of a profit. I think it has a good chance and agree that the upside outweighs the downside by some considerable margin. Some good stuff on this BB today, less crazy ramping and de-ramping.

Suppose the trial does not work. What will happen to all the recent 'investors', me included? I think I know the answer and maybe I'm looking at this share with a blinkered view. Hard to say, especially when so many seem to know almost for certain that it will work and the share will multi-bag. Will it?
On the plus side, if SNG001 keeps people out of hospital and potentially out of ICU, the price per treatment is only a fraction of the likely saving.
