'Anybody here in to AFC or any views?'
Yes, I'm in all hydrogen/ammonia companies, got to be the extension to the electric change and one of the ultimate energy/power sources medium/long term. Some cos. will do better than others depending on research/ product. Electric will serve short car drives, batteries will improved in capacity/lower weight/ less CO2 during manufacture (currently about 12 tons CO2 for average car battery), but longer range for cars/vans/ high power output trucks/ferries etc. will need hydrogen fuel cell range extenders. Marine industry going great guns on hydrogen power, mainly Europe/Scandinavia.
Better long term investments here than oil. Shell apparently trying to buy up existing wind farms. Dont want to be left behind/need better energy image.
Get in now before oil companies get in. Could also be takeovers, this is seen where university spin offs/ Ltd. companies get bought up before they fully develop.
Anyone got suggestions of other fuel cell PLC's to invest in?
'Shearwater is a must for SQZ to investigate in terms of DD. Also as I mentioned I do also feel, as you do too, that Shell could well be looking to exit this asset'
Shell could well want out as they are attempting to buy into existing wind farms.
Good move but.
It may solve their city's particulate problem but it means there would be more petrol cars emitting CO2. Or move the problem to later in the day.
Will there be support for people and companies to buy electric/ hydrogen vehicles, especially local delivery vans? Probably not.
Cut off before I finished.
'all machines operated by the owners, development and accuracy ensured, repeatability guaranteed by the machine. Cost to us if we bought the necessary machines - £500k to 1M, probably a lot more today. Don't be afraid to farm out to small private business, their reputation is as risk if they fail. But choose wisely and don't be afraid to shift.
I ran, with two other directors, a niche product factory involving many disciplines. All our machining was farmed out to two small businesses with NC machines, and all tin bashing work was farmed out to two small businesses kitted out with NC and sheet metal processing machines, all machines operated by
Wrightbus fitted Ballard's 8th generation power modules at their launch at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Stockolm in June. H2Bus is supported by EU funding - poor us, perhaps we'll learn.
Are ther any othe UK companies in the Hydrogenmarket apart from ITM, having difficulty finding any PLCs?
Oil tankers have a double bottom.
Does that help?
'keeping an eye on you' and 'correct you' constitute a continuation of the point. Therefore a comma is not necessary in this instance.
And where was the comma missed please?
Thank you very much LONGWAIT, I'm honoured. I won't be asking for any remuneration. I will keep my duties varied and will pop in here from time to time to keep an eye on you all and correct you if you try to besmirch the English language.
'I guess you are not going to advice less experience investor.'
The word in question is spelt advise, not advice.
Yoy really must stop reading the Beano.
'Zap&Go Carbon-Ion Battery ULTRA FAST CHARGE !!!'
So 100 times faster implies 100 times amperage. Enough to blow all the fuses in the neighbourhood. Serious implications for the electricity supply and the grid when everyone charges up at the same time.
Yes, I agree the change over problem is enormous. I don't think that even the climate change protesters know how enormous the problem is. Close down this, close down that, and then wonder why their food isn't arriving on their plates. Criticise, but offer an alternative solution they don't. Governments up to world banks need to move now.
China has 50,000 electric buses, but how many tonnes of CO2 have been produced to manufacture the batteries. Probably around 1.5M tonnes. CO2 breakeven compared to diesel is years away. And then you start all over again because 'cheap' vehicle batteries deteriorate after a few years compared to much longer life industrial betteries.
