Battery charging rates will get better.
But we should also be concentrating on developing power units for the high mileage and high powered vehicles; taxis, buses, trucks . With all the developments going on around the world hydrogen would seem to be the better option to electrical power; the longer the voyage the better. hydrogen power now available for mopeds and steel mnufacture. Interim fuel for ships being gas, ferries, tugs going onto electric for now- well developed. Peak power may arrive sooner than we all anticipate, the speed of changeover depending on the will of governments to support extensions to the relevant infrastructure to enable it to happen.
W e all seem to forget that Laura Dekker sailed around the world solo years ago in a small sailboat while 15/16 years old. Young people are extremely capable and don't don't necessarily get sea sick. And don't forget the 16 year old boy who sailed the Atlantic many years ago.
Thornburg's bigger challenge will be the wall of resistance when she gets to the US.
She's actually a timely warning to us dyed in the wool oldies who, like everyone else, had never thought of global warming in the 1970s
She has her father with her and I hope the exploiters will not damage her enthusiasm, health and life for their own over exaggerated claims.
We will still need oil for many, many more years,, there may be a temporary blip in support of this company but time will bring us back on course.
Electric cars are not the ultimate answer due to the increased infrastructure, high carbon emissions due to bettery construction and further mining for rare elements. however I'm encourage by the range of adanced hydrogen driven projects from motorcycles through ships to steel production.
Looking through the two year history of British Bulls I see that if I bought £100.31 worth on 06/09/2017 it would now be worth £79.31. Add in the cost of 30 buy and sell deals and I would have to spend a kings ransom as well.
Better just hold on and wait for a good deal.
I've been trading and investing for far longer than TW has been around so I think I'll rely on my own intuition and judgement than take any notice of chancers.
Isn't Trump bad enough news?

Cool where?
If you enjoy Classics at Silvertone also go to Vscc meetings there and else where, classic GP, vintage, veteran racing by the seat of their pants.
Just race a chassis, engine, transmission, wheels etc.. Real cars!
Who needs bodywork!
Haute I hope you mean kiln, not a kilm, as there are plenty of schemes on youtube showing you how to make a kiln; just a few bricks, some cement, chimney, hole in the garage roof, wood underneath, match, bellows or puff some air through it (just in case you don't know how to make it) and you're on your way to your first million.
Hope this helps.
Thought for the weekend.
Electric car emissions payback time will take donkeys years to make a seeable reduction. They come with the additinal emissions in building the infrastructure to provide the electricity and continually recharging whether through the grid or on board with a IC engine and the addition of the emissions from manufacturing the batteryand replacements as its efficiency drops after each recharge. The emissions created during each battery manufacture is about 12 tonnes CO2 (read all the Swedish reports). This makes a hybrid the worst of all worlds; a complete car plus heavy battery.
Do what the the heavy truck sector and marine world are developing; on board hydrogen production because electric will never store the energy for long distance travel.
think of engines 50,000 to 100,000 BHP (no, not tankers; container ships) sustained for 3 to 6 weeks. How big would those batteries be???
