I'm frankly astounded now, by the complete & utter lack of knowledge we're seeing on this forum now, from posters that have no comprehension, whatsoever, about running a small business, let alone the requirements involved in a massive takeover like this! It involves a huge amount of required legislation, including, of course, those of the EPA.

This is a transaction involving huge assets, and the many people who'll be working for us in future, and it needs to be handled correctly, and 100% legally.

I despair at the ignorance of some, but, we all know that most of them have an ulterior motive anyway, as they have had for some considerable time!

Just DYOR and you'll know where this is going, and ignore the usual suspects, who, as usual, are now crawling out of the woodwork!

Talking of gold reserves, using the Newmont Mining method of calculation, which I've mentioned before, based on the increased gold price alone, reserves would have 'increased' by at least 15-20% since the deal was done.

RNS for the latest update, final results and AGM date are likely this week.

I'm sure we're all 'chomping at the bit' to get the Telfer/Havieron deal finalised, and start that free cash flow into OUR coffers! Every indication is that it's all progressing very well. It should be a major catalyst for the GGP sp to move north, if not before, and he last week has been very positive, and hopefully that'll continue, as we move nearer.

As Canaccord Genuity stated a few weeks ago, and as other analysts have implied too...

"GGP screens well against ASX-listed gold miners producing in Australia, in addition to its London-listed peers which have assets in typically riskier jurisdictions. GGP trades on a P/NAV of ~0.46x, a significant discount to both the Australian and London listed peer average of ~0.80x.

No, not at all. They still own it, and therefore need to recruit staff, still, as and when required, to run the operation as normal. Newcrest were recruiting staff right up to the takeover by Newmont in the same way, and in which any business handover takes place, especially production, due to a lot of legal requirements, including Health & Safety.
