Well, IMHO, I'm not so sure as others here may be. As the latest Greatland presentation states, the 'hub & spoke' strategy now, with us owning the only operating processing plant in the Paterson, the Telfer infrastructure potentially enables accretive regional opportunities such as joint ventures and toll processing arrangements. This isn't something that can be planned at the last minute. Like everyone else, I'd like to see us make another, even small part Havieron, at any one of our large tenement holdings. However, if we don't, I'd like to see maybe a J/V with a company that, at least, has somethin g positive to offer.

That said, I agree, and have said for some time, that we hold the cards here, and I'm sure that we can agree something that benefits us, over the other party.

IMHO, I expect an agreement with Antipa within the next 6 months.

Lion Selection Group (ASX:LSX) CEO Hedley Widdup is widely known for his mining clock, a symbolic tool that tells investors where they are in the mining cycle.

Having recently pointed the arms of the patented Lion Clock at 4 a couple months ago, a flood of countercyclical M&A deals, especially from Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) and Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS) in the battered lithium space, seemed to confirm that point in the rotation of the cycle.

Now, Widdup says, is when the next phase could emerge, with the listed fund manager looking to deploy cash as capital from these deals begins to shift back to the sold-off junior end of the market.

The bellwether for risk appetite is exploration IPOs, and after a precipitous fall from a decade high 104 ASX resources floats in 2021 to a trickle in 2024, he thinks the window will reopen within the next two years.

“2024 is probably a write off for most IPOs, however that’s where my question mark is and I think 2025 we could see the reopening of the IPO market,” Widdup told Stockhead....

...The other he likes is Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY), which owns the 2.3Moz Minyari Dome deposit near the ageing Telfer gold mine. Greatland Gold is acquiring Telfer and the Havieron development from Newmont for US$475 million, but will need more ore to feed the mill long term.

“The solution for anyone who wants to buy Telfer is Antipa,” Widdup said....

Global Petroleum Limited (LSE AIM: GBP) is pleased to announce the commencement of a ground based gravity survey at the Juno Project ("Juno"). Global is targeting large Intrusion Related Gold Systems ("IRGS") at Juno.

The survey is detailed and will be carried out on 400 x 200m centres, and on 200 x 200m centres where added resolution is required. The survey will concentrate on the northern parts of the project area and is expected to take several weeks.

The gravity data will be integrated with the detailed aeromagnetic data, previously announced 14 November 2024, and used in subsurface modelling of the large Juno geophysical target. Unconstrained and forward modelling techniques are scheduled for the current quarter.

The results of modelling of detailed aeromagnetic and ground gravity data will be used to locate Global's first exploration drillholes at the large Juno target. The same techniques and methods were used to successfully intersect buried high grade gold and copper mineralisation at the Havieron IRGS discovery. Global looks forward to receiving final gravity data from Juno in the coming weeks.

"We were encouraged and enthused by the initial data we received from the Airborne Aeromagnetic Survey we announced on 14 November and subsequently looked to expedite the next stage of the work programme at Juno with the commencement of the ground based gravity survey. We will keep our shareholders updated timely with progress at the Juno Project."

Just as a reminder the Franklin Gold and Precious Metals Fund are showing as holding 201,575,000 GGP shares, but the total Franklin holdings are 286,875,000 shares. This is the largest fund/institution holding of GGP, with VanEck next, at 239,442,520 shares.

I couldn't agree more! IMHO, the Oz investors are probably straining at the bit to get the ASX listing sorted. They're much more up to date, knowledgeable, and positive, than most, but especially the de-ramping trolls we have to put up with daily on AIM, and it's associated forums.

I can't wait for the ASX listing, and what I believe it'll bring to the table.

It's hardly 'peanuts', when you consider that, up until the Newmont deal, VanEck was the largest fund holder for years, and, at around 50% of that holding, the Fidelity holding is still big for GGP, and is also new, along with Franklin, and many others over the past few weeks.

PS. Just wanted to correct my typo in the subject field, it's 106m shares, not £106m, but still big, and looking to be the biggest GGP fund/institutional holding after Franklin & VanEck.
