SLP has always been unpredictable on results days. Sell-offs have occurred in the past on very strong results. So, yes, anything could happen, it's true.
But, that said, SLP's share price is based not on a vague hope of future growth and profits, but on the reality of big profits being made right now. So (IMO) dips are to be bought, and peaks are not to be sold. If you look at the share price graph for the last four years or so, that's consistently been the winning strategy here.
Finally, if you're looking to compare SLP against other companies, it might be better to look at THS and JLP - they are at least in the same line of business (though there are important differences between the 3 companies).
