I can answer this old question about whether money can be taken out of Zimbabwe.
The answer is: yes it can. 100%.
Take a look at AIM and NYSE listed gold miner Caledonian (CMCL). Their sole asset is a 64% stake in the Blanket gold mine in Zimbabwe (near Bulawayo), which produces about 55,000 ounces of gold per year. They not only manage to take money out of Zimbabwe, but they pay a regular quarterly dividend to their shareholders. I know, because I am one.
There's no reason at all why Vast couldn't do the same. That said, I prefer to see the profits from Pickstone Peerless reinvested into reopening Eureka and possibly venturing into diamonds. There's huge potential in Zimbabwe right now, and hopefully Vast can benefit from their "first mover" position.

Nobody but nobody wants Flybe to go into administration, because then the slots - the company's most valuable asset (even if they are off balance sheet) - are irrevocably lost for nothing.

Librium are one of the company's two brokers, and the 8.5 form just reflects their daily activities. All these 8.5 forms are pretty meaningless paperwork, really.
The 8.3 forms are more interesting, though. Will there be another one from T. Rowe today, reflecting a further reduction in their shareholding?

I think it is as simple as that we have a determined institutional seller - T. Rowe. See the last few 8.3 forms, which document that they are selling down a moderate amount daily. Add to that thin volume, and "the herd" drifting away, and I think that explains the current strange situation.
Logically, IMO, there should be a takeover, given the assets, especially the slots. And, in any event, Flybe have plenty of cash and the ability to raise more, so administration is not close. But, still, I agree that this is weird.

So, there has apparently been a placing at 5p, in which the directors seem to have invested heavily, and in which HUM have been diluted down. This is all fairly good news, as such. But where is the RNS announcing this?

Stobart are in a complex position with their aviation arm, which has close ties to Flybe's operations (which is why they bid earlier in the year). I'm confident they will bid again, perhaps in conjunction with a private equity partner.
For what it's worth, I'm also fairly confident they will lose the bidding process to a better financed rival.

I don't think they'll get to a 400t run rate by the end of the year. I'm hoping for 250-300t and operational break even, with the new area (Murambi) coming online on time.
As for the JORC, hopefully it will demonstrate several years' extra mine life. The breccia at Kiyenzi is very near surface, so I'd also like to see a workable plan to mine it as soon as possible.
IMO, RBW will either go bust or the share price will increase 500% over the next year. It all depends if they can produce enough concentrate.

If the basket is very roughly 60% platinum, 30% palladium and 10% rhodium, then yes, the average basket price will have indeed increased.
I still think it's crazy that palladium, which was introduced to catalytic converters as a cheaper but slightly inferior substitute to platinum, is now trading at such a big premium over its sister metal! How long until the manufacturers replace the replacement with the original?

If Flybe goes into administration the Heathrow slots - worth perhaps $100m or so - are lost. That is why nobody has any interest in letting Flybe go into administration. There will be some kind of a deal.
Also, Flybe has plenty of cash and the ability to raise a lot more quickly, so administration is a long long way away.

You haven't worked in financial journalism, have you? The big papers check their stories surprisingly thoroughly before they make it into print. The consequences of false reporting could be dire, so they do everything possible to avoid it.
Both the IAG interest and the Stobart interest have been confirmed by multiple sources, and Flybe themselves have confirmed (by RNS) that they are talking to other possible buyers (note the plural there) in addition to Virgin.
If you like, you can call that speculation. But I call it well substantiated.

Answer: because Flybe's single most valuable asset, the take off and landing slot pairs (particularly those at Heathrow) would be lost. That is why NOBODY buy NOBODY is interested in letting Flybe go into administration.
Oh, and Flybe has plenty of cash, and could (if it wanted to) raise a lot more in short order by mortgaging planes and engines and property, and by selling off businesses such as the training school.
