RE: Spoke to Bert12 Nov 2018 15:32
Well, I just sold my last few shares in Hummingbird. Fortunately I got most of my money out at around 26p, but I still count this as my worst investment ever.
As always, "the fish rots from the head". That is, a bad CEO makes for a bad company. And Dan Betts is unquestionably a very poor leader - impulsive, reckless, arrogant, self-entitled, greedy, overpaid, stupid enough to fall for an obvious scam and to waste $2m of shareholders' money, and too cowardly to face his investors. He SHOULD be removed for the common good, of course, but this is AIM, and that's just not how things work. Especially, when HUM's BOD is completely dysfunctional.
I wish all remaining shareholders good luck here. But my own opinion is that this company will need to raise fresh equity in a few months' time, and the share price will go on drifting and lurching downwards until it is eventually put out of its misery and taken over for a song.
