I make the results pretty positive - production is clearly getting back on track and costs are under control. It sets us up nicely for a very positive Q4, and a much better 2019.
Sukhari drill results (from outside the current mineral resource) are excellent. There's no question about it being a world class ore body!
The West African drill results are also impressive.

Wouldn't you be physically knackered as well if you had so many projects on the go at one time?

I kind of agree with that analysis, Hazrat. Perhaps not that Gasagwe is running out of ore, but that it is very hard to mine a great deal from the narrow veins each month. Think how much stripping must be involved to expose these narrow (3cm to 15cm) veins as they twist and turn, and often suddenly disappear. I know that Rainbow can afford to employ a small army of locals, who will only be too grateful for a job, but still...
As regards the JORC, one key question will be what Rainbow intend to do next. Will they go straight into mining Kiyenzi mechanically? Can the current plant handle approx 7% TREO ore and make a saleable concentrate from it? If the answer to these questions is "yes", then maybe that is the answer to achieving the run rate (and maybe more).
In the interview Martin Eales said the JORC should arrive in "December".

Don't judge Dr. Jon Forster by the miserable standards of Dan Betts - he's a whole lot better than that!

What chance the new chairman is announced tomorrow as well? That might give us a nice bounce.
The rumour of such an announcement might even be the reason why Centamin is doing pretty well today!

So, mining at Murambi has commenced "this month" (i.e. October), and it should be in full production from next month. Well, that should at least help the next production figures!

Rainbow not AIM.
Not a lifestyle company - management own 40% of shares and are paid only reasonably. For once, management and shareholder interests are well aligned!
JORC news due before end of year. Also (possibly) scoping study for separation plant.
Rainbow's product sold at 70% discount to its finished separated rare earth oxide value as Rainbow's concentrate still needs to be chemically processed and separated into those products, which is a lot of work.
Etcetera, etcetera....
RNS wasn't the greatest, yes, and there is work to do to increase production. But (IMO) SP drop way overdone.

The trucks will be human-driven, of course. Labour is relatively cheap in Romania.
Automated trucks are only really economical in unionised high-cost mining environments like Australia.
Can't help but feeling that there is a LOT of recent good news which isn't priced in here. A little pro-mining risk-on sentiment and this share will fly.

Well, we know production ounces were down. You would have thought by now the market would have realised that means AISC will be up, since most mining costs are pretty fixed, But it seems to come as a surprise to the market every time!

As for Marange, well, let's see what happens over the next two weeks or so. But the potential upside is staggering.

Yes, there is a loss - which is why the share price has tanked this morning so dramatically.
Logically, as Murambi come online, it should more or less double production to about 250 tonnes per month - i.e. roughly EBITDA breakeven. Rare earth prices are widely expected to pick up in the next few months, too.
So, all told, management should be able to stop the company bleeding cash by the end of this quarter.
This is hardly a widows and orphans share, but it's not a hopeless cause, either!

Johnny B. Goode - you are aware that there was a placing for $2m in August? Cash burn is a concern, but you make it sound like a desperate bail-out placing is required imminently, which it really isn't.
I see it this way: eighteen months ago Rainbow had a huge number a problems to solve before they had a viable business. This number has essentially been reduced to one - how can they increase current production to 400t per month? Management is excellent here, and they also own 40% of the company, so I think they'll find a way to do this - despite all the frustrations of mining narrow veins. Perhaps part of the solution (or even all of it) involves the mechanised mining of the breccia at Kiyenzi after the JORC is defined.
I also believe that rare earth prices are at a low, and that will also help the turnaround.
Anyway, not buying yet, but I will be. Just waiting for a bottom to form.

Each to their own. RNS disappointing, yes. But I still trust that this company will come good. And I don't think a placing will be needed, either.
Anyway, if the mcap does drop to $10m then I'll be buying a lot more shares!

The sort oxide ore is easy to dig (free digging, little blasting) and to process (little fuel-intensive crushing and milling).
This means that if Cora can find any localised areas with grades of 2g/t (which they almost certainly can) the mine would be easily profitable, given this is Mali.
The report is so comprehensive I wonder what Cora are trying to achieve here. It reads like a sale prospectus. Are they looking for a buyer for Sananakoro? Or for the whole company? Perhaps there won't be the equity raise we are half-expecting, after all.
I don't think Hummingbird are in a position to make any new investments for quite a while. So (IMO) it could well be another West African gold miner.
