I've just re-read the RNS this morning - IMO it is the worst written RNS I have ever read. No wonder apparent "good news" has caused the share price to drop!
Urgent clarification from the company is required. What is BOD's share of this deal? Does the $2m to $7m annual income figure refer to the entire profits from Thorny River, or to Vutomi's share, or to BOD's share (only)?

From the "taster", there seems to be big news from Inmaculada - a lot of new ounces added for a 12 year life of mine with a lowest quartile gold AISC. That should move the needle here!

Production contract signed for Thorny River, first income expected in 2019.
IMO, very good news indeed! Expecting major rerate of share price now - BOD's mcap is tiny compared to the amount of income this project alone will generate. And news from Marange should come soon as well!

Botswana Diamonds (BOD) - Vast's partner in Zimbabwe on the Marange diamonds - have an interesting RNS this morning. They are moving into production with one of their South African assets, Thorny River, and expect first income from it next year.
The RNS is worth a look; it certainly is more evidence that bulk sampling of diamonds funds itself, and doesn't require huge amounts of capital investment. Looking forward to news from Marange soon!

I am also wondering about where the SP is going, yes. Because I think a lot of people are now selling on momentum, and I'm not sure at what level they stop.
I'm a buyer here. And, like any buyer, I want to pay as little as I can; even though I think that Vast shares are worth far more than 0.52p, or even 0.6p. So for now it's time to watch and wait.

Yes, quarterlies must be due anytime in the next ten days or so.
Potentially, there's a lot of other news due as well - T2 drawdown (funds for Manaila development and Baita Plai restart); timetable for Baita Plai restart; progress report on Blueberry with further drill results; news of Zagra; update on Zimbabwe gold mines, including Eureka restart schedule; and (last but not least) news of Marange diamonds.
Nobody likes watching the share price slide, but IMO it's not the time to panic sell.

No, I believe the Sukhari drill results are from underground extensions to Ptah, Amun etc. inside the 3km2 licence area - but which are NOT currently included in the Mineral Resource. The numbers were good, sometimes very good, and IMO they should in due course lead to a nice increase in underground resources.
The numbers from West Africa were pretty good as well, especially as some of them were from near surface.

BOD's tweets made it pretty clear that the Marange Heritage Concession was diamondiferous, if you knew what you were looking at.
I'm sure the money is urgently required to move forward with the exploitation of the diamonds. We'll probably hear more about this early next week. All in all, I'm not happy with HOW the placing was done. But if the money is mostly for the diamonds, then I can live with it.

Yes, the US economy has been successfully juiced up on tax cuts and government spending and the good times are rolling. Who doesn't enjoy a wild debt-fuelled party?
There will be a terrible price to pay down the line, of course, but not that many people want to think about that.
As for the open racism, the catastrophic destruction of the environment, the corruption, and the decay of American democracy and even the rule of law, well, a lot of people don't want to think about that, either, it would seem. Trump has already gone bankrupt four times. The moral and financial bankruptcy of America will only be his fifth and biggest bust.
Finally, as bad as Trump is, it's not fair to compare him to Bolsonaro. Trump is "only" a bigot, a huckster, and a fraudster. Bolsonaro is an enthusiastic supporter of torture and extrajudicial murder.
p.s. Isn't anybody going to say anything about yesterday's drill results. I found the numbers from both Sukhari and West Africa to be very impressive.

Hi BubbleBurster - no Centamin's cash reserves are still nearly $300m. They were down a bit on the quarter, owing to paying out the dividend, but not substantially. (See RNS for exact figures).
All in all, it's a nice feeling to be invested in a company with no debts and a $300m cash pile!

I think we should all remember that the stock market is a mechanism for companies to raise money in order to grow.
I'm not afraid of a placing to raise cash as long as:
a. the cash is spent well, and
b. the shares go to sticky hands, and they don't just get flipped and flood the market, and
c. the placing is at current market price or above.
Since AP has said that he is in talks with institutional investors to come on board, and since institutions almost always prefer to enter stocks like Vast via placings (as opposed to buying on the open market), I assume that we'll get news of a placing to an institution before the end of the year. I can't imagine that the placing will be at less than 0.6, which is 10% above current market price. So what's to be afraid of?

I don't think this drop is really Vast related, but more to do with the wider market.
FWIW, I imagine Mr. Market as a bipolar manic depressive. Right now he is on the downer of all time on junior mining stocks - nothing is good enough, everything is awful.
What to do? IMO, buy as low as you can and wait for his mood to swing back to irrational euphoria. It will happen.
