With a new production facility coming on stream and IQE recruiting 50 more staff, I don't think this is a share I would be shorting any time soon !

Having thought about it more, I think I'm wrong. It's actually very simple, if you paid �3 per share you need �3 per share to break even (less dealing costs of course).

The open offer was 20 new shares for every 9 existing shares, so for evey 9 shares beforehand there will be 20+9=29 shares afterwards. So in order to break even the price would need to be 29/9 x �3=�9.66. A little way away from where we are. Shame you didn't take up the open offer as your position would be better.

Rhambo, I guess you understand more about these accounting matters than I. It seemed that the release of the response sparked a rally, it remains to be seen if that can be maintained after further scrutiny by those who understand these matters. It will also be interesting to see whether the Great Blues Artist responds to the rebuttal !

The response was prompt, as it needed to be. I'm not an accountant so can't comment on it, or Muddy Waters. Lets hope Muddy is singing the blues tomorrow !

Until the company issues a detailed and convincing rebuttal of the Muddy Waters report, buying here is, in my opinion, like playing Russian Roulette. I remember being badly burned in Quindell, all the rampers were bad mouthing Tom Winnifrith who claimed Quindell's reporting was skewed, turned out TW was right and QPP tanked.

With this new career opportunity opening for Zahawi, I hope he will still find time to continue the important work he is doing at GKP, I really don't know if we could manage without his impressive contribution.
