I have just checked my POLB shares in a discretionary account that I have with Investec. The status has been changed and it is a”live” line now on my account.

Perhaps Institutional Investors holding POLB shares on behalf of their clients have been fast tracked?

Moni, I take it that your comment is said tongue in cheek?
I don’t think the corporate action or lock in expiry has been handled very well and has been mired in confusion.
Many investors were in effect excluded from the opportunity of selling their shares at 5.9p because the offer wasn’t passed onto them by their brokers and they are still denied the right to sell because the shares are unable to trade.
It will be interesting to see how easy they are to sell when they become live or will we just get NT.

Yes, it’s disappointing especially when we now have an FDA decision date of by the end of September.
I have been out today or I would have added. I will see what happens next week and if it drifts I will top up.

I am awaiting a response from HL whose response seems particularly shambolic. I agree DG that it is frustrating. I don’t intend selling but aspects of the corporate action/lock-in expiry don’t seem very professionally well handled. Not sure where the fault lies.

CF hoping that the investors POLB had lined up will now buy the balance of the shares they were proposing to purchase on the open market.

That was my view DG, it would have been nice to have had the option.

I will pursue it with HL because if something similar happens with the other spin outs I don’t want to be excluded again from any future corporate actions.

Thanks Magoo, that’s what I think too and is why I’m interested to see if other brokers have contacted their clients who hold POLB in nominee accounts.

Dote59 posted that HL claimed they have had no direct contact from Poolbeg so I am not sure what HL are playing at.

I didn’t intend selling, but I want to make sure HL are correct partly out of principle and partly because if one of the other spin outs has a corporate action I want HL to be on the ball.

Sorry, don’t know why the ?? appeared in my post. They were not part of the HL message to me.

I emailed HL with a complaint that I had not received any communication from them about the opportunity to sell part or all of my holding.

I have just received this response -

I can confirm we have a timeline for the distribution in specie and we are awaiting the shares in from this. Due to holding in nominee form, you wouldn't have received a form of election directly. Would posters with different brokers mind letting me know what communication they have received. I know S740 posted on ORPH that he/she had got a corporate action notice from Interactive Investor over a week ago. PeakyBlinder has also had some form of communication from Barclays. I have a feeling HL are giving me some right BS.

Morning HotChip, my comment was a bit of aside about a very quiet ORPH board.
I think JS has done well and hit all the targets the company set out to achieve.
I won’t be adding more as my cash is tied up elsewhere, but I am a happy holder. I think the POLB journey over the next few years is going to be an interesting one.

It took me a while to find it too.
Just as a bit of an aside, but I can’t remember it ever being so quiet on the OO board, there is just a few posts everyday now. Not much to discuss I guess, but hopefully things will pick up on both boards with eventual news flow.

Interesting to see what reply you get Dote from Poolbeg. I will let you know when I get a response from HL to my email. Finding it very strange that the UK’s biggest stockbroker has not communicated at all regarding the share purchase offer or the expiry of the lock in period.

I agree Moni about the missed timelines undermining sentiment and I share Ash’s frustration. Don’t agree with Ash’s comments that OO is a “rubbish”company or that CF is a liar. It does surprise me, though, that an experienced business man like CF allowed himself to get so carried away. He has been miles out with his spin out targets, he initially was talking about Christmas 2020.

I’m hoping that the core business continues to grow and evolve and eventually will be able to pay a dividend. I have lost faith a bit with the spin outs. What is happening with DIM for example?

I have had my fair share of “rubbish” companies and I don’t agree ORPH is one of them. It has a sound business model, a good order book with more contracts in the pipeline.
Do agree with the frustration that CF’s ill judged comments regarding timelines has generated and why disillusionment in some quarters has set in.
