Si, that comment intrigued me too.
There were a few nuggets from the meeting ref the spin outs, for example -
Ref Wally’s notes “Is DIM difficult to spin off? If yes, why not put into a subsidiary company??- Good point, watch this space, DIM might move sooner than expected”. I found that a very interesting comment. Any ideas what that might entail? I am trying to read up about spin outs and the benefit of subsidiaries to shareholders.
“Are you mitigating perceived overhang at the end of POLB lockup??- POLB may be in a position to use some of its cash balance to buy back shares or pay a dividend - we are not doing this in ORPH as we have vastly bigger liquidity whereas POLB has tiny daily volume, so a buyback is more logical in terms of driving the share price up; this would not be possible with ORPH.
ORPH has ‘very good plans and ideas’ for our cash - ‘trust us with it, we’re not burning through it’ - news to come”.
At a previous webinar JS had seemed surprised at a question asking him if he thought the SP would weaken on a potential exodus at the end of the lock out. I am glad the potential problem has been recognised and will hopefully be mitigated to an extent by a share buyback.
I thought it a very informing meeting and renewed my optimism in the company. My thanks too WALLY for the excellent notes, they are a great transcript and I often refer the them.
