I’m not trying to advocate the Telegram board. But it’s stretching things a bit to say you were “hounded” and there was only one civil response.

Thanks Gmcc, it’s frustrating that the report is on the AVCT website but only seems to be accessible to institutional investors. I can’t read it unfortunately.

Wyn, I know you well from the AVCT board and I respect your opinions on there. But how much do you know about AGL? I know it VERY well, it is my biggest investment in terms of outlay, and I have stuck with it despite the poor share price performance. So no offence, but your post comes over as a bit patronising.

I agree FeverTree. After presiding over the SP collapse I am no big fan of Garth Selvey and the LTIP’s for AN & IG lost the company a lot of good will.

I think I might win the (unenviable) prize for the highest price paid on this board, a whopping 7.495p on the 5th February 2020. The next day DT “resigned” and the SP tanked about 40% never to recover. I compounded the error by adding more on several occasions.

I sold most of them when AB left at a very hefty loss. I only have a small fomo holding now, obviously well in the red.

I hope it works out for everyone, I have long since written off my losses, but still keep an interest. It seems a bit surreal that DG seems to be cheerily posting away on the Tel*gram board, it looks genuine, but who knows with NFX.

Hi ThinIce, I remember all of CF’s hype. Perhaps DIM has been the biggest disappointment for me in the “promises” that never materialised. The share price doubling every six months I did put down to blarney.

Difficult to say what my average is as my shares are spread over a few accounts on different platforms and I Bed & ISA’d and sold a few when I got fed up in the 14p’s. So sorry, I’m being a bit lazy not looking everything up, but my average is probably in the early 20’s.

I much prefer Mo at the helm. Credit due to CF for turning around the company, but he did talk some BS.

I think in fairness to Avacta, I we need to look at the situation as being fluid and dependent on a number of variables. Particularly in the context of a comment at the prelims from TG: “…as you’ll appreciate the level of spend on the Therapeutics programmes can vary quite significantly depending on how quickly those programmes are accelerated…” It must be impossible to give definitive guidance, hence the more generalised guidance.

Someone on the other board did a very useful transcript of the prelims matched up with the slides. I use it for reference. With their consent, is there anyway of posting a PDF on here?

I know what you mean Diggers, but it almost becomes a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy. I think the 95p bottom originated from a well known chartist (not Wyn). It did/has made me admittedly hang back in topping up. But the SP is ridiculously low, and in the absence of a crystal ball, I did add today. It is impossible to time the market and I hope if it’s not the bottom, then it’s very close to it.

If you are genuinely considering investing, then I would start off with the recent results presentation. It’s an hour long and packed with information. You will note that the CFO, Tony Gardiner, says on a number of occasions, that the company is funded to the back end of 2024. Cash is not a problem, the death spiral references, are as BV said, an ironic joke.

If you are more interested in the Therapeutics side (as I am) and want something a bit shorter then have a listen to the AACR poster video.

Will the SP drift further? I don’t know, but it is impossible to time the market, and I have taken it as a huge opportunity to top up, and bought this morning.

Dibs, The LTIP scheme was a bit of a slap in the face for me. I appreciate that the first SP target of 44.5p is over double where we are now and that they have to be held for five years, but imo none of the targets should be under last years 80p placing.

I don’t care how AN tried to justify it in the recent Q&A, I see no justification for AN or IG potentially benefiting, whilst shareholders who participated in the placement would remain heavily in the red. I have no issues with incentive schemes for the rest of AGL’s employees. My comments are solely directed at the captain (AN) and his right hand man IG, who must take most of the responsibility for the SP demolition job. It stinks of self interest with scant regard to their long term, long suffer shareholders.

Mr R and others, I am not worried about funding, but there was no mention in the results of cash until start of 2025. It was mentioned yesterday, on this board, and since then has been taken as cast in stone correct. So we had this morning from Watching - “Cash till.end of 2025.” It was possibly a typo but it is incorrect. It’s like Chinese whispers.

Tony Gardiner said at the presentation that AVCT are “well positioned from a cash perspective” to take them “well through into the back half of next year.“ Does that mean start of 2025? Maybe or maybe not, but you have to be careful what you post or it gets taken as gospel. Any cash talk beyond “well through into the back half of next year” (i.e. 2024) is conjecture.

Thornogson, I tend to agree. Wyn’s posts are usually well reasoned and provide some balance to the board. I don’t go along with Watching’s suggestion of a permanent ban for Wyn, that just amounts to a form of censorship, on the grounds that you don’t agree with his views.

Where did cash “start 25” come from? It was a very wet bank holiday Monday, so I re-listened to the results presentation twice. I am not trying to be picky, but cash into start 25 was never mentioned, and if it is said on here it sort of gets woven into fact and extrapolated further.

Tony Gardiner actually said (direct quotes) regarding the cash position - “So 39 million good strong cash runway to see us through 23 well into 24…….So well, well positioned from a cash perspective to take us well through into the back half of next year.“

And

“So just to summarise, 42 million cash at the end of the year, 39 million at the end of March, well funded to drive us through well into 2024.”

Agree Dan & Bojo. We know Parsortix works in 24 cancer types. Imagine the benefits of a repeat liquid biopsy test, in example, for Brain Cancer where an invasive tissue biopsy would be hard to access and carry a high degree of risk.

Just out of interest, this is from a 2021 RNS reach issued after publication of Brain Metastasis research that used Parsortix.

“Liquid biopsy from peripheral blood is a particularly attractive solution in brain cancer because of the difficulty, medical complications and cost associated with taking a tissue biopsy from the brain.
