I’m going with JT’s 200 mg/m2. Based on the grounds that JT is much more knowledgeable than me 🙂 and also because AS said at the interims that they would be starting in the middle of the dose range. (Source Q&A session, Interims 28th September)

The phase 1a doses have ranged from 80mg/m2 (C1) - 385mg/m2 (C7). So 200mg/m2 sits almost in the middle and was the dose used for C4.

Evening Icecool, I have no medical background or direct experience of how long it takes before dox treatment side effects kick in, but I recalled something Andrew Saunders said at the AGM (afternoon session). It ties in with Timster’s post.

Andrew Saunders was comparing a slide that illustrated Dox side effects v AVA6000. He said that myelosuppression/low blood counts is “the most immediate toxicity that emerges and typically tends to emerge about two weeks after giving doxorubicin. So if a patient is going to have it, it will declare itself early and consistently.”

So in answer to your question “when do the patients see significant side effects?”I think any potential side effects for C7 patients would have started to materialise by now? But I don’t pretend to be an expert, so would be interested in what anybody else has got to say.

Sadly for me Doc a 220% increase still wouldn’t get me anywhere near break even. It shows how far the SP has fallen since FDA approval.

My patience is running out even if it does mean crystallising a big loss. Where is this PD-L1 assay that was supposed to be due imminently? I am beginning to lose faith in AN. And I am a LTH with a sizeable investment. If no positive news materialises soon I will pull the plug. Which for me would be a real shame, not just in terms of losses but because I thought AGL was onto something special and genuinely believed AN’s hype that FDA approval would “turbo charge” all aspects of the business.

I think that is a sensibly grounded post DTW. But I’m pleased for Sean, that he has got some acknowledgement, after he was blocked for no reason by RAH & pompously patronised by OPH for being a bit over enthusiastic.

Tbh I couldn’t see a great deal of difference between the new poster and the old April poster. The dosage data is the same on both. The graph data seems identical. Some words have changed. Perhaps, as Tom pointed out in his tweet the most interesting is in one of the sub heading difference:

Old - “Initial pre-clinical safety studies”

New - “IND enabling studies”

Tbh I’m still a bit confused. In the interim’s presentation AS referred to AVA028 as being the data that was due to be presented, as per slide 21. Yet the RNS and all subsequent comms (plus the poster ) say it is AVA032. Yet there is no AVA032 shown on the pipeline slide, only AVA028.

Are they the same thing or is AVA032 a derivative? Or have I missed something?

Will the short fortnightly dosing study, that is to run in parallel with C7 or phase Ia, also be a dose escalation study? Will you pick a single dose level based on the phase Ia data up to C6 orC7?

Answer AS

Yes. It will be a dose escalation study, but it'll be quite a short one, because without going into lots of detail, from the three-weekly study, we know where we can start, as it were, so we don’t have to go back to the beginning. We'll be starting in the middle of the dose range, and we would expect two, three dose escalations, maybe four at the most. But we know where we can start in the middle, and the idea is to run that very quickly and have it finished by the middle of next year.

Understand the criticism of PH not being invested, but to be fair he has given AVCT some very good airtime.

Yes, it surprised me that Chris. I didn’t realise that CGT would be payable on pretty much the full whack. It seems a bit hard that, especially as the value of the “parent” asset usually goes down on the ex-dividend date.

Morning Bella, I think it unlikely that the company would make further acquisitions. I’m basing this on what AS said when he concluded the Diagnostics afternoon session at the AGM.

“… Our immediate focus now is about gaining the synergies from both businesses. It's not on further M&A activity. I mean, the board is absolutely aware of the need to allocate capital across the group. That's something that we talk about all the time. Just to be clear, we're not heading down any further acquisitions anytime soon.”
