So, in CC’s words, “nearly 6 months more data”. Including, crucially Q2W. Take a look, for example, at tables 2 & 4. There is a lot of data in there, including signs that Q2W’s reduced toxicities (for the day-to-day discomforts that make cancer patient’s lives so miserable) are even better than the Q3W results [table 4].

Just my own observation, but the 160mg dose in both arms shows zero adverse events [table 2].

Not many companies that can pay a dividend and have growth ambitions on AIM. HVO is a cracking company.

Any dividends on the horizon?

A.

We've committed to paying an annual dividend, and it should be sort of similar as we paid out this year. We paid out just under 1.4 million, and we have the same sort of ilk going forward. We do want to hold on to our cash. We are quite serious about looking at M&A opportunities and growing this business. So we expect to use that cash for driving growth in this business. Has Cathal’s share sale hurt your ability to attract institutional investors?

A.

Well, not at all. I mean, you could argue it's actually promoted institutional investors, because it was an institutional investor who was after a live block of share, which Cathal then offered to the institution and they purchased that. And then in addition to that, I'm sure, for those of you who follow us closely, you know there has been a TR1, even recently with regard to institutional holdings. And right now, we have more institutional holders than we've ever had, at least since I joined the company. And so, I don't see that has had any negative impact.

Q.

I noticed Cathal completely cashed out recently, which caused some retail investor angst. Can you comment on the timing of that given the very positive outlook of the business?

A.

I'm sure Cathal had his own personal reasons on that, but the timing was more driven by institutional demand. So when we have an institution, who was already a sizable holder, wanted to add additional holdership, then the timing was fine, and that was the main reason that I know drove that decision. Carl was not actually looking to sell, but we have somebody who wanted to buy, and he was willing to accommodate that requirement.

Evening GMCC, I’m not so sure regarding your comment “Pancreatic cancer might be very suitable for AVA6000 treatment”.

I’m basing this on a reply from CC, at the AGM, to a question regarding the ethical dilemma of not allowing patients access to AVA6000 prior to FDA approval.

This was CC’s answer:

“…… we now have enough data that we understand where it's working and where it's not working. And so that helps us to answer the first question [re ethics]. So when, when a GI oncologist calls (and GI) is pancreatic, colorectal, stomach) and says, I'd like to access AVA6000 for my patients, we have to say, but doxorubicin wouldn't work.”

CC then went onto say

“The much harder question, you're absolutely right, is when we have a physician who treats patients with soft tissue sarcoma, salivary gland cancer, breast cancer, some of the diseases where we expect doxarubicin to work.”

So, I have taken from CC’s answer, that there are cancer indications that will respond better to doxarubicin than pancreatic cancer. Perhaps pancreatic cancer might respond better to a different warhead?

Gordon, it is possible to have a difference opinion without resorting to rudeness.

You made an assumption, which I asked you to back up. You, yourself say the product sales information is not in the public domain, so you have basically made a guess which you have made sound like a statement of fact.

Personally, I think to get £6m+ revenue by the year end is a tough ask and I do have reservations they can hit it. But that is an opinion not a fact.

Please can you back up your claim “Sales of kits was disappointing earlier this year, something to keep a close eye on too.. “ I saw no reference to that in the results RNS.

Instead, this is what was in the results:

“Strong start to 2024 with product and services customer relationships developing well and significant expansion of pharma services business”.

And

“Product sales have been particularly busy, with the expansion of the Company's direct salesforce and the establishment of an international network of oncology focused distribution partners. First product sales by distributors were achieved in Q4 2023, with sales of products, associated consumables, and the newly launched Portrait+ CTC Staining Kit expected to grow in 2024.”

Stt1, you are obsessive. You post significantly (and repetitively) more on here than shares you are actually invested in. Your fixation is beyond weird.

CF is an entrepreneur. He clearly likes new projects and challenges - he has a new company and financial interests in European Green Transition (EGT). He hasn’t just ‘irresponsibly’ dumped his stake in HVO, he has ‘transferred’ it to Octopus Investments, who have built up a significant shareholding.

CF is a maverick, but I much prefer Mo’s qualities now at the helm. Good luck to CF, he has played his part in HVO’s transformation. Possibly, it is now time for him to move on as chairman, but the company is in very good shape.

BV, I read both this board & TG. I think many, including myself, joined TG in July/August 2022, when the abuse and real unpleasantness was at its worst on here. Someone described this board, at the time, as being “war-torn LSE”.

TG has its strengths & weaknesses. I was never a big fan of Ophidian. But I like this board as well, there are some good posters on here.
