I think we have to be realistic regarding how long it takes to sell a business (6-12 months according to a google search). Due diligence etc, etc is still required even if AVCT have priced DX to sell ‘quickly’.

Coris also has some Affimer IP which might make it more of a complex transaction.

Wyn, I agree with you on the continuous deletion of posts. I may not share your views but I don’t believe in trying to censor them or the board. If people don’t want to see your posts then why not use the filter button, that is what it is designed for.

Personally, I find Thorn’s posts hard to stomach. He is not invested and imo is a troll. So he is filtered, problem sorted.

Agreed Shandypants, I have also done the same. It is like the board has been taken over by an obsessive stalker. From now on all I will see is a green filter box, I should have done it ages ago.

It was less than ten days ago that Octopus Investments added to their holding and less than three weeks ago that HVO was one of the stocks discussed by Chris McVey of Octopus Investments (34:10 into the video).

Fund managers may not be infallible, but I think it unlikely that Octopus would have built a 13%+ stake in the company without proper due diligence.

Hvivo had an enviable cash pile of £37.1 million (as at 30 June 2024) and no debt. It hasn’t had to raise money at a discount like many AIM companies.

In contrast Stt1’s favourite stock (TLY) had gross cash of only £1.4 million (as at 30 September 2024) and debt at £2.5 million….

Stt1, I am not invested in TLY - so guess what? I’m not interested in the company. Yet here you are, with no financial interest in HVO but three quarters of your posts are in relation to it. Me too Beechhurst, I am also mystified. Looking at the last five days trades on LSE there didn’t seem anything out of the ordinary. There was no great volume, pretty quiet really. If there has been speculation we haven’t heard anything. Let’s hope it energises the SP (in the right direction).

Anyone who listened to CF in the days when he was CEO of Hvivo will know that he can be somewhat prone to getting over ‘enthusiastic’ with some of his timelines. A brilliant businessman but sometimes you have take what he says with a pinch of salt. Strictly, Moni and others who were invested from 2020 I am sure will remember some of CF’s classics.

Apparently there were problems with the audio during the presentation. It will be embarrassing for the company and frustrating for investors if all we get, after so much anticipation, is the slide deck. I hope that’s not the case but it is beginning to look like technical problems have (at least for now) scuppered the presentation going online.

Pretty poor that we still can’t view the much heralded Science Day. Hope they get it sorted soon or it will fizzle out like a damp firework.
