I do agree with you Hawkhead most if not all private investors would have cashed in their chips long before the £70 Mark and including myself , and myself probably selling at that 20p mark LOL,,, that's my point about ananada that sky high share price prediction could be the mentality to just hold on in there and make that huge fortune.while the other PI like myself loose out.. generally speaking the average investor who sees a half decent profit and takes it would do well long term . But greed and that need for just that bit more gets to most of us , and trips us up,,,LOL,,,,
if PI just had more clarity around solid sales predictions and a long term strategy , then most would hold onto their shares, but it seems safer to make money investing for a expectation rather than the actual result.
I remember sitting in my car in around 2004 reading a full page writeup about ASOS in investors chronicle ,and thinking wow this looks a very compelling investment opportunity, and a really scalable business model, It also said in 10 years people would be buying more of there cloths online with computers laptops and these new expensive tablets that were coming out, but I couldn't wait 10 years to capitalise on this investment, and I didn't even put a single penny into ASOS,,,and at that time I had £70000 to play with, how silly was I then,,,LOL,,,, the SP at that time was 14p,,,,,,,,and another PI on here stated he bought them at 7p
And he was delighted to sell them at a decent profit of around £10000, but I calculated if he had held on to them his profit would have been nearly £2million pounds, and I believed him, and as you stated hawkhead
Most people sell out to quickly to capitalise on there investment,,, herd instinct,, and that would be the norm,
But if you thought ,and you were totally convinced of a sky high SP, then that type of person would gain unbelievable, even though short term they look quite often totally unrealistic.
I believe in our med, but to evaluate a companies future you must look at its past record , and futura has a poor track record ,to put it politely , so that must always reflect in my cautious investment view of futura.
