RE: Look at the majors who are doing Co2 EOR24 May 2020 18:51
hey Mr MM.
My last post of today, think all will be getting peed off with me.
I was thinking along the lines of Shannon but changed my view, reasons behind it are :
1. looks like its running into the same problems Shell had with environmentalists over Corrib. (cost them billions, project overan by years and eventually sold out at a loss)
2. You dont have to have an LNG plant in Ireland to sell Irish gas. (however you must pay a resident of Ireland on sales of gas, quoted in the terms of Petroleum lease )
3. EU judges not jumping over themselves to approve the planning application. (first one looking like not valid)
4. The last message Paul issued.
In Ireland we are advancing our new business development strategy to focus on offshore LNG regasification by leveraging our relevant experience and expertise. We have made faster than anticipated progress with our preferred LNG supplier and owner of regasification vessels and have begun the process of engaging with the Irish regulatory authorities. A further update will be issued in due course.
This statement in my opinion says it all and through a bit of digging a more cost effective and quicker way of supplying LNG to the market is practicable and also this theory ties in with my earlier post about who may be interested in Trinidad and Ireland.
If you search for :
what company operates LNG plants and owns its own ships.
what company operates offshore storage facilities.
what company operates LNG plants in close vicinity to the Ram Head lease.
what company has significant knowledge of EOR and operates in the Caribbean.
Its a shot, but someone might want to do a bit more digging along these lines, come up with a better idea, all good in the end.
